"My bike chain fell off and got horribly stuck right before crossing the George Washington Bridge. After fiddling with the chain myself, I ended up walking my bike to Manny’s. I’m not a local so didn’t know what to expect. Manny expertly reinstalled the chain and got the gears (SRAM Force XPLR) running smoothly. He also diagnosed the problem (bent derailleur hanger) and then told me to go wash my hands. Super competent, honest and nice — exactly what you want in a bike mechanic! I’d give him 6 stars if I could."
"I can not in good conscience recommend this bike shop to anyone! I brought my road bike in for a simple brake replacement. After one short session, the connection to the rear brakes broke from the lever!! I am a beginner cyclist so I just trusted that he did a good job, but then they broke. When I went to a different bike shop, they revealed to me that the brakes were installed incorrectly. (Apparently, he installed them with the quick-release up.) Save yourself a trip to the hospital and avoid this place at all costs!"
