"I waited too long after shoulder surgery to begin physical therapy. Needless to say, the scar tissue was excessive, as was the pain and stiffness. I received excellent care in an atmosphere that was as friendly and fun as one's favorite bar (everyone knew my name as two employees and one other patient were also named Drew). I'm moving towards my sixties (Oh, G-d!) and I am lifting weights like I was in my twenties again. Everyone I recommend Island Sports Physical Therapy to agrees that the therapy they received there has been the key to their recovery."

Kevin is such a professional therapist and so knowledgeable about what care is needed for each individual. Kevin and his staff are perfectionists in the proper care of each person. "I have had several experiences with Island Sports of Coram, most recently treatment for a pretty severe rotator cup problem in my right shoulder. I was barely able to lift my right arm. Within several weeks of treatment by Kevin and occasionally by Tyler and Ron, I was back to 100%. Once completed, they sent me home with exercises to do to strengthen my shoulder to prevent future occurrences, and I haven't had a problem since. The staff at Island Sports of Coram is very competent. They know what they are doing, and it's comforting to know that you are in good hands. I have nothing but praise to say, about the professionalism, friendliness, and genuine enthusiasm that all the staff have with working with their patients. When you visit the office it's as if you are visiting with old friends, or family. I actually looked forward to my visits, and was sorry about not going there anymore when my treatments were completed."

"Kevin and his staff have been caring for me for 17 years. I had a serious fall and injured my neck and shoulder. First I had to have a neck surgery which resulted in a double fusion. Because I had multiple injuries I was difficult to treat. Kevin with his years of experience was able to adapt my treatment program and put me in the pool. I was able to strengthen all my muscles in the pool and this jumpstarted my healing. I then had to have a shoulder surgery. We had to modify many exercises to work around my other injuries. Kevin had the patience to go slow and steady and finally I was able to return to work. He worked with me to develop a program to maintain my physical activity level. I know if it was not for the dedication of Kevin and his caring staff I would not be moving as well as I am today. If you want to be cared for by staff who treat the whole person and not a body part then this is the place for you!"

"I have had numerous shoulder surgeries and one foot surgery. I’m an avid runner and now, a triathlete. For each surgery I have gone to Island Sports PT in Coram. I can’t even begin to express my gratitude to not only the therapists, but also the staff. Tyler in particular got me back up and running, literally after each surgery. I trust him more than my own doctor. They all take their time, don’t push you to pain at all and take their jobs and your safety extremely seriously. The staff are extremely accommodating and even allowed my kids to come when I can’t find sitter (9 & 11 at the time). The entire office treats you more like family than a patient and with that is the care and concern for your overall well-being. Patient safety and comfort have always been their top priority and you can see that with all of the returning patients that come in. I’ve referred numerous patients to this practice and every one of them have had as great of an experience as I have. If you want to feel better, heal and feel confident during the entire process, I couldn’t recommend this place enough. They’ve become more family than therapy to me. At 43 years old and after all of the surgeries I’ve had, without going to PT at Island Sports, there is no way I would have been able to become a triathlete.
