Essen Health Care Primary Care

"I have been coming here for more than year.I like going to see my primary care doctor for checks up.My medicaid has been inactive on Monday because i did not renew it on time.They called me to make an appointment.My appointment is scheduled on March 8 2024 at 11:00 am.Yesterday I visited my case manager and he called the health insurance to try to activate my Medicaid.He did activate my medicaid .He told me it will take 48 hours for my medicaid to be activated again.So today I called the office of Essen health to let them know my medicaid is inactive and I don't want to pay out of my own pocket.A lady told me over the phone that I should still come to the appointment.I listen to her and came to my appointment thirty minutes early.once I got there,they told me I have to pay out of my own pocket for my visit because my medicaid Inactive.I refuse to pay out of my own pocket and I did not even get to see my doctor.I rescheduled my appointment for next Friday at 11:00 am.I left without seeing my doctor.i am so angry that I went to my doctor's appointment and I was not l seen by my doctor.I came to the office for nothing. They wasted my time.>:("

"This location deserves 0 stars. RUN DO NOT GO HERE!! I have been to several Essen locations and this is by far the worst. I came to update my son's physical who is 7. Before checking in I asked the necessary questions such as Do you do children's physicals for school and let them know he was never seen at this location I emailed the form and everything at 3:45 pm I didn't get a room till maybe 6:07 pm and doctor Louis walked in around 6:36 pm and tells me there is nothing he can do first because the form Wasn't clear so I resent the form and then he proceeded to tell me he is unsure what children/ adolescents health examination is asking for so I sent last year's copies which have his shots and immunization history on it and was told that wasn't enough. I was still told there was nothing he could do after almost 3 hours of waiting. This location does not have reliable doctors and no consideration for the patient they also miseducate and are very biased in this location if you looking for reliable healthcare look somewhere else. Not this location my second time here and as usual I left with high blood pressure stress levels on 100 and accomplished nothing. RUN DO NOT GO HERE!!!"

"This 1990 mcgraw location is worse.They don’t have any doctor in that location! They have nurse practioner for pcp, pediatrics and also for urgent care. They don’t have blood draw service, they always sent pt to bioreference to draw blood. Their customer service is also worse than other doctor office. I had a visit with Latasha devis , the nurse practitioner and that day i was only patient so far and still she sent my medicine to wrong pharmacy! Her assistant tried to do Sudocheck , nerve ending test without any valid reason, i refused to do that. After 1 month i still didn’t got my medicine , talked several times to customer service. They tried to set up another appointment for that! I’m going to change my pcp , recommend other people to do so. Essen’s patient care is worse"

"The level of unprofessional is over the bar, I was there for my labs, I got there around 6:50, for over 50 minutes I was waiting on a examination all by myself, the provider late come in and told me that they don’t have the exact vaccine I need and I should go and see my primary care provider provider, after waiting for close to an hour, I was sent away and my time was completely wasted"

"Worst medical clinic I have ever been to. No one ever calls you back even after leaving 5 messages. I will definitely find out who you report this to, maybe the medical board or the district attorneys office. I am sure someone oversee this medical facility if you can call it that."
