Augustana Lutheran Church

Welcome to Augustana Lutheran Church, a vibrant and welcoming place of worship located at 3143 Eggert Road, Tonawanda, New York. At Augustana, we are dedicated to renewing your spirit and supporting your life's journey in the presence of a caring and inclusive community. Our church services are designed to make everyone feel valued and included as part of our faith family.

Join us for a meaningful worship experience that includes confession and forgiveness, inspiring readings, and messages from Pastor Fred. We also offer a youth sermon, communal prayers, weekly communion, and uplifting hymns. At the end of each service, we pray for individuals who seek personal blessings.

Families with young children are welcome to use our 'Cry Room' which provides a comfortable space for parents while still allowing full participation in the service. Alternatively, children of all ages are welcome to remain in the sanctuary. After the service, we invite everyone to join us for a coffee hour to foster fellowship and community connections.

For those unable to attend in person, we 'Zoom' our services live from the sanctuary, allowing worshippers from Western New York and beyond to join us virtually. This enables friends and family from out of town to worship together, whether from separate homes or with one person in the sanctuary and the other online.

Our congregation is deeply committed to outreach, supporting local and global initiatives such as helping refugees in the area learn to drive, fundraising for a Christian school in Sierra Leone, and collecting food for local pantries. We also host a Community Baby Shower as part of the ELCA's 'God's Work. Our Hands.' national day of service, benefiting local agencies in Buffalo.

Augustana is proud to offer a free indoor event featuring 'Trunk or Treat,' games, face painting, music, and food. Invite your friends and family to this fun-filled event with no cost involved.

Throughout the year, we continuously support the Community of Good Neighbors in Buffalo by collecting essential food items such as cereal, peanut butter, and jelly.

We warmly invite you to visit Augustana and experience the welcoming spirit of our congregation. New members are encouraged to join our community at any time. If you or someone you know is on a journey with cancer, we provide one-on-one support through our ministry leader, Linda, who offers personalized assistance through various means of communication.
