The park is operated by Girard Township, a second-class township situated in the northwest portion of Erie County, Pennsylvania. It serves as a community hub where residents and visitors can enjoy a variety of recreational activities, from picnicking and hiking to bird watching and fishing.
For those interested in local governance, Girard Township Supervisor Meetings are held at the park on the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. and the fourth Tuesday of each month at 4:00 p.m. These meetings provide an excellent opportunity for community members to stay informed and engaged with township affairs.
Please note that the Girard Township office will be closed from Monday, August 12th through Wednesday, August 14th, as the staff will be attending the PA Association of Municipal Administrators conference in Erie. The office will resume normal operations at 8 a.m. on Thursday, August 15th.
