"About 3 years ago I had Blount pour a floor for a 3 car garage then an enormous concrete driveway and parking pad for 5 cars. The original quote was for $28K for the driveway and pad. After looking at it further they recommended pouring walk ways to a duplex on the property. That cost another $8K. Thank God I listened to them because without the walk ways it would have been a mess. I can't recommend them strongly enough! Very professional, on time and fast. The work they did was top notch and their crew is a great bunch of very experienced individuals. Thank you Bloundt Construction. You guys are the bomb!"

"My driveway is all pitted, some spots chunks missing, when I called after first winter all I got was that happens. Do yourself a favor don't go with Blount cheaper isn't better. We also had new footers laiid exterior walls of our garage made the wall to high had to reconstruct the opening for our doors in order for them to fit. Looking back should have taken to small claims court. Should have listened to people who told me not to go with Blount shame on me"

"Me and my wife decided to go with a new driveway last year 2018. I went with 3 estimates One contractor never called me back the other 1 was too busy and Jim showed up For the estimate on time so I decided to go with Jim Blount. One of the worst decisions I ever made.. He gave Me a time frame of 6 weeks. After the 6 weeks 5 more weeks one bye and I was calling and nobody ever called me back. I talk to Chris in the office and it was impossible to get a time he told me Jim just comes in and picks his jobs so why did he tell me 6 weeks if there isn't any kind of scheduling, I couldn't understand that. Well it was after Labor Day and I called the office to cancel the job because I did not want any leafs falling in my new concrete, When I canceled jim called me back 10 minutes later and said I'll be there tomorrow I wanted the job done so I went with it ,one than the worst decisions I ever made again... Well I went in my yard and grilled Super Bowl Sunday in my garage 5 months after my driveway was poured a noticed a big crack Going over 4 of the cut blocks about 17' worth of cracking.I called the office the next morning Chris in the office said I when Jim gets back from Florida in April he will call me first thing, never heard from anyone. I'm a pretty reasonable guy and I understand that concrete cracks but not 5 months after they do the job. It's a different color then the front of my driveway they used a cheaper concrete . I used to pour concrete my younger days & have some experience And I have bird baths in my backyard were the water stays in for 3 days after it rains because it was in pitched or finished right. My neighbor Ernie decided to go with the driveway across the street when Jim was here his driveway cracked too and has all kinds of birds baths where it wasn't finished right. He called the office nobody answered him back either. I feel of your a good business man you call your costumers back good or bad. If Jim was a good contractor he shouldn't have to advertise after 35 years you should have costumers waiting in line the next year . The reason that I'm posting this I don't want anybody else take it screwed over, think twice about going with Blount Cont.."

"On 7-14-2017 Blount Construction completed installation of our concrete driveway. I sealed the driveway a few weeks later with the concrete sealer they recommended. I noticed in January, after a few freeze thaw cycles that my driveway was spalling and flaking. The condition of my driveway worsened all winter. I called Blount Construction in February and left a message which did not elicit a return call. I waited and called again in March and spoke with the office manager. The office manager asked me to send an email as that was the best way to contact Mr. Blount. I sent the email that day with attached photos of my driveway. I received no response from this email. I waited until May and sent another email that my driveway was flaking off as I hosed it down. I received a reply from the office manager that he would give that email to Mr. Blount. I once again had no response from Mr. Blount. I again waited and followed up with a letter and photos that were scanned delivered by the post office. I received no response to this letter. I again waited and sent another letter and photos, this time by certified return receipt mail. I checked at the post office web site. This letter was not picked up at the post office and is in the process of being returned to me, unclaimed. The condition of my driveway is appalling. There are hundreds of small divots that have broken from the surface of my driveway. The concrete stains easily and appears to have no strength. There are many concrete contractors available in this area. I would not recommend a contractor that has no concern for his customer or the quality of his work after the fact. This is a contractor that should be passed over for one that will stand by the quality of their work."
