"This store has come a long way in the last year or so. It used to be a mess, disorganized with lots of missing basic parts and fittings, but it's much better now. There is a guy Keith working there who is knowledgeable. They have a lot in stock and the prices on things like fittings or pipe are very often 30-50% less than Lowes. They also beat Lowes on blown in cellulose insulation. We are building a house and have gotten quite a bit from this HEP."

"I stopped today and there were 4 associates at the front counter who were all having a personnel conversation for 5 minutes while I stood there. Finally one of them waited on me, clearly annoyed that I was there. When I tried to describe the vent pipe I was looking for me he was rude and condescending because I couldn't remember the exact name. I was looking for a vent pipe for my range hood which is a seven inch pipe for a 48 inch range hood. He tried to convince me to reduce the seven inch pipe to a six inch pipe then reduce that to a four inch pipe and put a dryer vent on it. I said that won't work. He replied oh it'll be fine. You don't have to be a Code Officer or Math Major to know that's nonsense. Between the rudeness and the plain out bad advice I left the store disgusted today. I try to shop local but part of the reason to shop local is friendly and knowledgeable service this has not been my experience at this store. Had I not understood how terrible that advice was I would have gone home and installed it and would always be upset not knowing why it wasn't working."

"This store is great for certain things that you won't find at Lowe's. Most of the staff are knowledgeable trade guys who will answer questions from amateurs like me, give advice and point you in the right direction. I've had good luck here over many years."

"I was in there two weeks ago for a bathroom exhaust fan not one person ask if they could help me find what I was looking for, and asking them where find them no offer to help of any kind. Several items have been bought there over the past 20 years. But not any more. Ps my wife stopped in there today for roofing nails with no greeting or even can I help you find something. Not good business!"

"Have always been helpful. The transformer in my heating unit went and took the board out with it. They had the exact board and a better transformer in stock. 3 days later the burner would not turn on. Figured out that the limit switch was also bad, it did run for 2 days which had me scratching my head initially, they had 2 high temperature limit switches that would both have worked as replacements. If you have a few questions about your project this is the best place to go."
