"Architecture is amazing. History of family was interesting. Tour guide very knowlegable and willing to answer questions we had. I'm very interested in ghosts/paranormal, so this was a place that offered stories on hauntings/activites. It is decorated during the holidays - I need to make my way back there for that!"

"The most enchanting location in central new york! Perfect for a tour of history or to host your wedding/event! I photographed a wedding over the summer at the 1890 House Museum and the staff were AMAZING! They opened the entire museum to us to use for portraits - were so so easy going and made the entire wedding day experience wonderful with no hiccups! BEAUTIFUL MUSEUM AND ROOTS OF OUR CORTLAND HISTORY!"

"Interesting building with 5 sets of stairs to climb. Tour is you are handed a booklet with pictures of the rooms and descriptions not with a tour guide. We were there for over an hour very interesting and some really beautiful wood carved furniture. Lighting is very dim in most rooms. If you like seeing how people of well to do families lived you'll like this. Parking is a hassle as there is no parking lot. When we went street was closed for construction but we found a parking space about 2 blocks away. No public lots around."
