"I used to like coming here but my sweet black lab was bitten by a mean small dog and now has a scar on his nose. It's a nice area for a walk but I'll take my dog somewhere else."

"Beautiful trees! A lot of the trees are really large too and are fun to walk around. There's a loop path of like 1/2 mile or something (I've never measured). There are other places to walk around and explore besides the path as well. Dogs really like this park too, just remember to pick up after them!"

"This arboretum is really nice. If you live in tip hill, it’s right in the heart and has a big open space for the doggies. You’re not supposed to have your dog off leash, but usually everyone does. As long as your dog has a good recall and is friendly, most owners don’t see a problem with it. Dog catcher will come and give tickets though. You can walk laps around the loop with your dog or you can go up above the hill and be a bit further away and tucked back from the crowd."

"A serene spot in the midst of the city. Part of an expansive and scenic dog park, mature trees, large meadows - the ideal place to bring your pup for a fun and playful outing."

"This may be the biggest and most beautiful Dog Park in the world. It is a rare city that can set aside a piece of land like this for the dogs. Definition of Arboretum March 21, 2014 at 4:56pm Arboretum as defined in the Encyclopedia: From Wyman, Donald (1986) Wyman’s Gardening Encyclopedia (3rd ed.). New York Macmillan P70. An outdoor museum of woody plant collections, displayed according to ornamental uses and botanical relationships, which are suited to the climate of the area An educational facility for the study of horticulture, botany, and natural systems to be used by both the plant specialists and the general public. A research facility involved in developing the “best “ forms and cultural varieties. A recreational area focused on passive uses where values are attached to environmental aesthetics, pleasure, community pride, and public support. An authentic Irish arboretum is one that conforms to the principles and values of the surrounding community. Education is over-rated. You're in Syracuse NY, get drunk, stay drunk. Anything for the dogs. The dog park is a gem but the arboretum is a dog"
