"It is located in central Islip on Suffolk Ave. Free parking. However during the morning rush hours, you may need to go a bit early to find a spot closer. Usually it is pretty safe to park your car for a day if you choose to go to the city by LIRR. Most of the time, you can find a seat on the train."
"Dirty station lack of facilities..unreliable service .."
"Went here with my family, appetizers we had the Nachos with chicken and Wings, the nachos was large and in charge and wings were very good, the main courses the Food was tremendous, from burgers, chicken sandwiches, and I had the steak and we all took doggy bags home. If you like sports, TV's are everywhere. Love this place."
"Clean station, well lit, relatively safe, however, the trains headed east or west aren't usually on time. Might want to check the website the day of traveling since I've found on numerous occasions that a train they list the night before has been completely changed to a new time 12 hours later. i.e. I checked at 10pm night prior, said train I looked at for the next day was 10:18 a.m. I get to the station and I'm waiting around for the 10:18 a.m. train only to realize that all the trains have been pushed to the 47's of the hours, for the exception of the 10:47 a.m. train (which never showed up) and I then had to wait for the 11:47 a.m. train."
