"Clifton Train Station is your prototypical generic train station. Located on the Main Line, it serves commuters traveling to New York and Hoboken on the Eastbound track, and Paterson to Suffern and beyond to Port Jervis on the Westbound track. As far as amenities go, there's not much, as one would expect. They have a ticket vending machine which at certain times of the day can be difficult to read owing to its positioning and sun glare. There are a few benches outside, a little station house where at least on weekdays one can take shelter from inclement weather, and a small shelter on the Westbound side. No food or vending machines are present here, as this is primarily one of those "Get here as close to train time as possible, get on, and go" type stations. Some inconveniences of this station are: Getting off on the Westbound side, one has to go down about 20 steps to street level, cross under the trestle, and either up another about 15 steps to the limited parking behind the station house, or walk around for anywhere from 2-4 minutes to get to the more abundant parking lot on the other side. Not an easy place for mobility impaired to get around. In short, if you're traveling from here, just use it as a "Get there and Go" station."

"My father uses the station a lot since it is next to my grandparents house, and I must say even though he just parks in her driveway there is plenty of parking for commuters in front of the station as well as across the street there is a whole lot for commuter parking. Station itself is well kept, and is convenient for us."

"Very well kept, clean station with indoor seating. Plenty of parking which is awesome! The only thing this station is lacking is a vending machine (that would give it 6 stars)"

"I had been to this station a few times. This is an awesome station with a very nice view. Here is the following things that this station has: A waiting room with a bathroom, seats inside the waiting the room to wait for your train, station announcements powered into a speaker in the waiting room, and a bus shelter used as a passenger shelter on the other platform and one more shelter, positioned where customers can wait for somebody to pick them up. And finally, they have TVM's on the eastbound platform with a few nearby bike racks. And the parking is very nice with plenty spaces, some of which are accessible spaces, but the station itself isn't. You cannot, however, park there overnight. If you really need to, the other station in Clifton, called Delawanna (located 2 stations to the east) has overnight parking. Both stations are located along NJ transit's Main Line. People going into the city that live in Clifton and can't find any public transportation to get there, you're problem has just been solved :)"
