The Sanctuary Story

"I got married in June 2023, but life got in the way and I never got around to posting my review. I’m now here to say that Jesie and team KILLED IT!!! I seriously could not have asked for a better hair team. A few important points about how incredible they were for our day: 1) I have naturally curly hair and did not want to straighten it for my wedding. Jesie not only allowed this but completely embraced it. I was in love with my hair and felt truly like myself. They were so careful to make sure that I was happy with the style both at my trial and on my wedding day. It almost brought tears to my eyes to see how beautiful my natural hair looked in an event style when I have had to straighten it before styling for all other events in the past. Jesie is to thank for me being able to rock my natural curls and feel like myself! 2) My husband’s grandmother had significant hair loss from a medical event a few months before the wedding, causing her a lot of insecurity. Jesie stepped right up and used the extensions we provided to create something truly amazing. You couldn’t tell there was any hair loss at all and Grandma was so, so pleased and confident the entire day. She still speaks so highly of Jesie. 3) One of the people on the hair team tested positive for Covid the night before. Jesie and team handled this FLAWLESSLY, showing up an hour early to ensure that every bridesmaid was still finished on time with no issues whatsoever. I experienced no stress at all from this minor inconvenience because of Jesie’s professionalism. I cannot thank Jesie and team enough for how beautiful they made me and my closest girls feel on the most special day ever. I look at my pictures even today and am so so happy with how everything came out. BOOK NOW you won’t regret it!!"

"As soon as I saw The Sanctuary Story’s portfolio I knew I had to book them for my wedding; I absolutely loved all of their styles and had full confidence that they’d be able to create my dream wedding hair. To say that they did not disappoint is a massive understatement. Jesie is an artist and a magician and crafted the MOST gorgeous, dreamy, intricate hairstyle for me on my wedding day; I wish I could wear it every day for the rest of my life, I felt like a goddess. They were super patient and dedicated extra time to working with my fine, naturally curly hair and went above and beyond to ensure that my hair held for the entire day--they even sewed my crown into my hair to make sure that it wouldn’t fall off. Despite the rain, humidity, and the fact that I spent the last hour of my reception dancing, my crown did not budge and my hair held up all day; I loved how it looked at the end of the night just as much as I did after it was first styled. Jesie also styled my mom’s hair, as well as my wife and her mother, grandmother, and best friend; their hair also held up all day, and all of them looked beautiful and absolutely loved the styles Jesie created for them. Jesie and their team were great to work with throughout the planning process; they were responsive, helpful, and provided my wife and I with lots of tips to prep our hair well in advance of the wedding. Jesie’s expertise, creativity, and attention to detail is unparalleled, as is their patience and kindness. I sincerely hope I get a chance to work with them again in the future, they are truly spectacular."
