"What you see, is not always what you get. For a very expensive cake, it was not worth it. The website sample cake and the cake I was given were different. Very important that you make sure your cake is the cake you order and not “similar “. As the recipient of the cake, I was not happy at all for a milestone birthday cake. The top was dark chocolate, there was no name and aged is spelt age. Very little lemon flavor as well. I would not recommend based on my experience."
"For my daughter's sweet 16, she insisted on a specific cake in a specific color and size. NYC Birthday Cakes made her dream come true! The order process was extremely easy and I was able to provide a swatch so that they could match the color as best as possible. (color matching fondant is not easy - I've made cakes myself but didn't have the time now) We only had 40 people and 4 layers (6:, 8", 10" & 12") would have been too much cake. So, they made the top layer and bottom layer with a cake form instead of cake. The two middle layers were red velvet with cream cheese frosting and the vanilla with chocolate mousse. They were absolutely delicious!! The cake was delivered to the venue on time and as promised. These are truly professionals and I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a special cake! (FYI - we bought the topper on our own)"
