Budget Truck Rental

"I had a reservation for 12:00pm on Saturday. Their office closes at 1:00pm. When I arrived for my pick up no one was there. The gate appeared locked, and when I called there was no answer. I was late for my moving appointment, late for work, late for everything the rest of the day because Budget did not want to show up to work and do their job. Did not call, email, try to contract me prior to inform me they would or would not be closed, did not ask me to alter or change my reservation, nor did not bother to call me after the incident. Really unprofessional. How do you expect me to complete a scheduled move with no truck? I had to compensate for the movers I hired and pay overtime charges. The inconvenience from Budget was extremely rude and unbelievable! Never use their service at this location . Literally they just decided not to come to work today and disregard all appointments that were reserved. How does a business and major scale company operate in such manners? I am going directly to corporate. *9/18 UPDATE: Still never received a response. So I called Budget customer care center. Was hung up on 3 times. When finally connected, the representative stated he was transferring me to his supervisor and placed me on hold, was on hold for over 25 minutes."

"Awful rental experience, truck we received had a check engine light (this location told us not to worry about it) and the truck broke down while we were driving it. Budget roadside assistance was very slow, took them about 30 hours to get us a replacement truck and they would not offer load swap assistance. I will not rent from budget trucks again. Also this location was very difficult to access with the 13’ tall truck, there are a lot of 12’ overpasses that inhibit you from getting to or leaving from this location from highway 280."

"They gave us truck with check engine light on and it stopped on our way back. It took them more than 30 hours to send a replacement. Terrible service. I wish I could give less than 1 star."

"They gave us a truck with the check engine light on, and the guy said it would be fine for 3000 miles, so we expected our ~1500 mile trip to go without a hiccup. However, on our way back, the truck stated it was out of DEF even though the tank was full. We called budget and they didn't give us a replacement truck for about 30 hours, and wouldn't provide a crew to move the load to the replacement truck, even after stating they would provide one. We were stranded in Ohio and were forced to pay for a hotel and taxi to stay overnight."

"good price but really bad truck and service, we did Columbus to NY and it took us double of the time because the truck was too old and checking. Plus we rented a trailer for the car to put behind the truck and we had nobody to help us to upload the car or explain what are the manipulations to plug it to the tuck and secure it. I really not recommend it for long distance only to move in the same city."
