"We booked our car through Avis 2 days prior, they confirmed the reservation. On the day of the pick up - we had our pick up scheduled at 9 in morning, we reached around 11:30 and they informed us stating the reservation was cancelled last night. We did not receive any updates or notification. The person at the front desk was rude and did not comply with the situation and asked us to just call customer service and go away. We had to find other means of travel. This is completely unacceptable. Cancellations without informing customer, no reason provided for cancellation, no notification, pathetic customer service. There are many car rentals - I would suggest to look for other alternatives and not book through the Avis Rutherford location."

"Reserved a car with them weeks before a trip. The *night* before I arrive for an 8am car reservation, they send an automated email that my rental pickup location is now an hour away, and the price tag is 2x what was on the reservation."

"Schedule reservations for Saturday and they took out the money out of my account for the rental and because you have a low credit score they will not accept your payment. No where in the policy it said that they need your credit card to be on hold. If you are using your debit card for the rental. To get refund 7/10 business but they are fast to take your money. I see why people go with enterprise they are way better."

"Overall, the service is decent for this location. The staffs are helpful but not super warm. The major issue I have with is the website. I successfully made a reservation in the morning that I need a car in the afternoon, but later I got a call from them saying that they do not have a car to rent. Imagine one person books a hotel successfully and is on the flight to the destination, and got a call from the hotel informing there is actually no room for you. This happens to Enterprise too, which may explain why no body wants to work to make the website more accurate and reliable."
