"After driving my used vehicle for 3 weeks, it needed over $8K in repairs. Over the course of 6 months my dashboard was lit up like a Christmas tree and the check engine light was on the entire time. My local garage/mechanic took a look at the vehicle and told it to me straight; it was not properly inspected and they were suspect to think the odometer was tampered with. I have no idea how this car passed inspection, and I do know that PKAS never did an inspection upon purchase because my mechanic found a skeleton of a dead mouse in the air filter! This is a basic inspection check point. Living an hour away, I drove the vehicle back to PKAS three times, requiring a friend to drive there and back so I could either get there or get home. I was told the turbo would be ordered and replaced during a week when I would be out of town for 4 days. When I arrived to pick up my car, the owner told me the part never came in, but didn't bother to call, text or email me to let me know. Another wasted two hours of driving. My personal mechanic called him on my behalf; a reputable garage that has been in biz for nearly 40 years. The owner of PKAS scoffed at the call and painted them to be the inferior mechanic, with their lacking knowledge of Land Rovers. I was told, again, that the turbo would be ordered and arrive in 7-10 days. After almost 2 months of calling, leaving message after message, sending email after email after email, I finally got a reply and the owner said he'd replace the turbo "as a one time courtesy". When I picked up the car, we parted ways and then once again, less than 24 hours later, the check engine light came back on. Sticker price = $16,999, Negotiated $14,800 with $4K down. Over $2K in repairs within the first month. Just traded it in for a new used car at Cortese for $3,450 after owning the vehicle for 6 months. TOTAL LOSS! When Cortese Rochester inspected the car for a potential trade-in they found MORE ISSUES with the vehicle. Let it be known that PKAS is the opitomy of used car sales people. Never will I ever know how this man can look at himself in the mirror and feel good about cheating people out of their hard earned money behind a curtain of immoral business practices and "value". This place should be called "Peter Kay's POS Auto Sales". Do not waste your money, your time or your sanity."
