"I've been a bourbon connoisseur for over 50 years. I've never found a decent bourbon at a New York State distillery until today. Their River Blues bourbon is nothing short of amazing. Notes of sour cherry and vanilla up front with tobacco on the back. I highly recommend this to anyone that enjoys better small batch and single barrel bourbons. Congratulations to Dark Island. "While visiting beautiful Alexandria Bay, we stumbled upon Dark Island Spirits. Let me tell you, we were so glad that we did. The moment we stepped inside, we were greeted by friendly faces and knowledgeable staff who guided us on our tasting journey. We tried a few flights, and to be honest, we enjoyed every single tasting sample. We ended up leaving with a few bottles of the Eleanor Glen 1000 Islays - Peated American Single Malt Whiskey as well as a few bottles of the Mountain Strong - Corn whiskey aged in one of our used bourbon barrels. If you're in the area, I highly suggest stopping by and trying some amazing and unique spirits."

"The bar tender taught us how to taste the liquors. The tasting was super fun. They had options for people who do no drink alcohol as well. Overall I felt welcome when I didn't want to drink alcohol, and that is important to feel valued in an establishment. Additionally, their gifts, jewelry, and tchotchkes were excellent. I would come here again just for the vibe!"

"We had a nice time doing a tasting here! The staff was friendly. The raspberry crush was our favorite, and the grapefruit vodka was our second favorite. We had high hopes for the Citron, but it had a slightly soapy after taste. They whiskey/bourbon selecting was good, but there wasn’t anything I felt I needed to pick up. I would stop here if you’d like to relax! I hear a few people really enjoying the slushees too!"
