Wabtec’s Green Friction technology, developed through extensive expertise in friction materials and rigorous testing, has proven to reduce particle emissions from metro train braking by up to 90%. This technology is being piloted on one of Europe's busiest metro lines, marking a significant step towards cleaner tunnels and a healthier environment for passengers and network personnel.

Port Optimization:

Through its Port Optimizer™ software, Wabtec is enhancing port efficiency by integrating data across the port ecosystem. This cloud-based solution helps the supply chain monitor dynamic conditions, align resources, and improve communication, leading to maximum throughput and performance. Additionally, ShoreCONNECT, Wabtec’s onshore power supply solution, connects electrical power to vessels at port, significantly reducing port emissions and noise pollution.

Engine Modernization:

Wabtec has also developed a fuel-saving engine upgrade package for its FDL locomotive platform. The FDL Advantage modernization not only improves fuel efficiency by up to 5% but also introduces next-generation data and software capabilities, positioning railroads for the future of transportation.
