"It was really cool to experience this piece of history, and I enjoyed seeing that it still has practical use for the people of Pittsburgh after 150+ years in service. It's also only a few dollars for a ticket to ride and the ticket is good for several hours. The views from the cars are wonderful too!"
"7/09/2024. You can see most of the city from the top. Fun cheap ride(only $3.50 for a round trip). I would highly recommend it if you are in Pittsburgh( go close to dark for a beautiful sunset)."
"I love the inclines and the Monongahela particularly because it connects straight to Station Square and the Smithfield Bridge that will take you downtown. I love to park on Mt. Washington and then walk to the Point State Park downtown and take the incline down Mt. Washington. Although parking on Mt. Washington can be tricky. The incline can get packed with mostly tourists especially during summer but they come and go all the time so the wait isn't bad. Dogs are allowed too! A must do in Pittsburgh!"
"We visited this incline today with friends. Since the weather was perfectly sunny, we decided to go during the day, but next time, we plan to visit during the night too. The ride is smooth, lasting only a few minutes, and the car is very clean. The view is amazing. I definitely recommend this!"
"This was a nice experience. We walked across the bridge from downtown and rode up on the last car and back down on the first car. We did this at night. There are a few restaurants and bars that were open as well at the top - Shiloh Street- and bottom of the incline. It is also not expensive. The views from the top are lovely. This is a must do while visiting."
