About the Business

Bay Six (The Bay Six Project)

Bay Six, also known as The Bay Six Project, is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to meeting the basic needs of our community in Mingo Junction, OH. We strive to make a positive impact through various initiatives and projects, ensuring that everyone feels seen, loved, and valued.

Easter Initiatives:

As Easter approaches, we understand the importance of family meals and celebrations. Financial constraints can often lead to tough choices, and Easter baskets for children may be one of the first things to be cut from the budget. To alleviate this burden, we are organizing an Easter Grocery Bag Giveaway for families, which includes ham and side dishes for an Easter lunch. Additionally, our fourth annual Easter Basket Giveaway will provide baskets for kids aged newborn to 10. To participate, please visit our Easter Giveaway page and fill out the form.

Brown Bag Diner:

Our Brown Bag Diner offers daily meals to those in need. With school back in session, our hours have changed to Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. Each person is limited to one bag per visit and must be present to receive it.

Funding and Donations:

We fund our projects through the resale of items on online platforms like eBay, sourcing products from garage sales, auctions, and thrift stores. All profits support our non-profit efforts. We also accept donations of items for resale. If you have items to donate, please email us at themilltownpeddler@gmail.com. Financial donations are also welcome and can be made through our online giving page or via PayPal.

Volunteer Opportunities:

If you have a heart to serve and want to make a positive impact, consider volunteering with us. We have various opportunities available during the week and for special projects. Fill out our volunteer application to get involved.

Bay Six: Media:

Our creative outlet, Bay Six: Media, uses video, photography, and podcasts to tell stories that inspire positive change in the community. Visit our YouTube channel to see our work.

Pet Food Pantry:

We have partnered with the Jefferson County Humane Society to provide free dog and cat food every other Thursday from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. However, due to a lack of availability, this service is currently on hold.

Community Events:

We host various events throughout the year, including a Pool Party and Back to School Giveaway, and quarterly Community Art Contests to give young artists a voice. Stay tuned for more details on our upcoming events.

Holiday Support:

Our Bay Six: Christmas project aims to ensure that every child has a gift on Christmas morning. If you are a parent or guardian struggling this season, please sign up to receive support.

Small Town Restoration Society (STRS):

A department of The Bay Six Project, the STRS focuses on restoring small-town pride and community interaction. We work to secure grants and funding to restore buildings, parks, and other community areas, making our towns better places to live.

Support Us:

You can support our efforts by purchasing a Brown Bag Diner T-Shirt from Rustik Junktion, our eBay store. Every T-Shirt sold helps us provide five meals to those in need.

For more information, visit our website or contact us directly. Join us in making a difference in our community!

"Bay Six is an outstanding venue. Bobby and Stacy have a huge heart for ministry, and the place is amazing. Super great decor, but more importantly, it is a great place to go for a chill/hang out spot. There's snacks, free WiFi, and live music (sometimes)! Definitely go and check it out."
