Pittsburgh Hearts of Steel is a vibrant and supportive community dedicated to empowering breast cancer survivors by strengthening their mind, body, and spirit through the camaraderie and sport of dragon boat paddling. Located at 300 Waterfront Dr in Pittsburgh, PA, our organization offers a welcoming environment where breast cancer survivors of all ages and physical abilities can come together to enhance their overall well-being.
Our mission is to provide a safe space for survivors to engage in physical activity, share experiences, and build lasting friendships. While the physical benefits of dragon boat paddling are significant, many of our members find the social connections and additional activities equally rewarding. We embrace all members, regardless of their preferred activities, and encourage suggestions to continually improve our offerings.
With over 150 breast cancer survivor dragon boat teams internationally, Hearts of Steel stands out by fostering team building, determination, and perseverance. Dragon boating is an excellent way to boost strength and endurance, and whether you're interested in joining our team or simply want to chat, we'd love to hear from you.
As a non-profit organization, 100% of all donations are dedicated to supporting the activities, education, and needs of breast cancer survivors. We are committed to giving back to the Pittsburgh community and surrounding areas by sharing our personal experiences and knowledge about breast cancer and survivorship.
