"As an interior designer one is forever in the creating mindset. This was the first time a client requested I dismantle an entire home I had designed years ago. One of the very first over 20 years ago . It was for the dearest of clients, a man that was himself a brilliant innovator designer . Who else would ask you to design a fourteen foot koi pond for the entrance of a home and was thrilled with the Noguchi inspired design. I understand loss deeply and embraced the role to completely support the family . How do you empty a home of forty years with five children and a grieving spouse ? The answer is simply from your heart . Andrea Baker and her loving team from Showplace were the only people to accomplish such a monumental task of clearing three floors of a home with such care and sensitivity . I am forever grateful . "Rudest auction experience of my life. Simply AWFUL. We went to visit their 25th street location where they have a mix of upcoming items for auction and pieces available for immediate sale. We asked to look at a work on paper that was for immediate sale, and wanted to examine the back of the work (this is standard procedure for art collectors.) The receptionists were very kind and helped us, but the owner soon stormed out from the back and started yelling at us, treating us like children, and saying we couldn't examine the work further. We asked what they would take for the work, and they quoted a $300-$500 estimate range and we offered on the upper end. The owner rudely stated he wouldn't take less than 10x that amount. Rude and demeaning experience. Take your business to any other reputable auction house in NYC."

"Beautiful gallery of some exquisite pieces. Some seemingly priceless. The shop is very beautiful and a lot of fun to browse. Clearly the sellers are professional and know what they’re doing. I loved my experience there even though I was traveling and unable to buy based on logistics. All around quality. Courteous staff and a lot of fun."

"This was a surprize for us to see ! The week end has the flea market across the street and also check out this large Antique style mall . Several floors with a great assortment of vintage to buy . These are little shops and some where not open--we where there early. The top floor has several fun curios and prices seemed reasonable . There is several Asian Style Art dealers here, There is a very good selection."
