"My wife and I began coming here in 2018 with our first son when he was about 9 months old. Steubenville is a charming little town, it has some local shops, food spots, & lots of historical value. The ability to walk the streets seeing all the nutcrackers that were handmade is awesome. There are plenty of themes, and they have only grown year over year since 2018 with the amount of nutcrackers that spread throughout the area. The shops (seen in pictures) have a ton of different nutcrackers to take home with you. The attention to detail is amazing. For your visit, the daytime is great, but night is almost better since everything is lit up! Last year (2022) when we were here, they even had a Clark Griswald station wagon look-a-like car driving around the streets all night with the tree on top (see pic). It is a great family time and we look forward to returning this year (2023)."

"Yesterday was the 1st time for us to visit the event. The nutcrackers were amazing! Definently worth the trip. Some suggestions: The criticism about parking was very valid. To make it more festive there should be piped in holiday music. The trolley wasn't running. That would have been nice. It was cool how empty store windows were decorated so empty stores were not detracting although it would have been neat if crafters had set up in the doorways even if "food trucks" with hot chocolate. Brat wurst, chestnuts, Carolers would have been cool if utilized. The Nutcracker store was amazing and so was the 3 story antique shop. Steubenville has many opportunities not yet explored to really put them on the holiday must do list."
