"What a surprise. Tucked into downtown Steubenville along the Ohio River, it offers a detailed look into the founding of the Ohio Valley communities that was a part of the survey by George Washington. The reconstructed buildings contain a wealth of period history. A person could spend hours absorbing the history contained at this site. It is handicapped accessible with abundant parking."
"Definitely worth a stop. This is not the original fort it’s a rebuild but is on the same spot at as the original Fort. The folks working there are super nice. Gave us a deal to get in since we only had about 20 min before closing. The set up for each cabin was interesting but not as good as I had hoped. They are doing an archeological dig in the middle of the fort. It would be interesting to see all of the data on what they are finding. Worth a stop! Plenty of parking and restrooms on site."
