Springwood Apartments

"We lived there for 6-7 years. We told them our one bedroom apartment had water in the walls. The old maintenance man laughed it off and said maybe on the outside walls but not the one in the living room. They fixed the wall by placing plywood over and painting it. We moved to a 2 bedroom and the same exact situation we told them again their is water in the walls it's going to cause mold.. sure enough we started to see mold spores on the wall in the laundry room and than when moving we saw mold spores in the closet. They gave us mold and mildew cleaner to clean it off the wall. The second time it happened they put a piece of plywood over the wall and didn't even paint it. The parking lot is a joke it hasn't been fixed in years they just patch it up the entire thing needs paved. Alot of neighbors would talk about these problems and even filled out petitions to have these things fixed but nothing changed in years. As the other reviews state don't expect your deposit back, not that I expected it."

"I am a current tenant, I've only been here since January because I moved in half way through my fiances lease because I decided to live with her. I have no problem with the management or maintenance. For those looking into these apartments all the reviewe from 7, 4 and such years ago the apartments were managed by a older woman who had no idea what she was doing and was rude and couldnt manage a snail race. The apartments are now managed by a very sweet, kind, caring and nice woman. If you have any problems maintenance is over with in that same day unless they are very busy. Not to mention I've had no issues my fiance had a problem with the heater unit when she first moved in the A/C part worked but not the heater part and she called in about it and that same day the replaced and fix the whole thing. And then after I moved it the garbage disposal stopped working and maintenance came and fixed it. So before you judge the apartments based on very old reviews please consider mine me and my fiance will be moving into a much bigger one bc we are currently in a studio and moving into a 1 bed room I'll update if anything changes"

"Paid a years lease up front and it was a horrible place to live. There is a mentally challenged lady living there that would also come around just standing behind my vehicle talking to herself and would knock on our door. Never took care of the parking lot when it snowed. Told them the hot water connection for the laundry room was leaking so we couldn't use it...was never fixed! Save your money. These apts are not worth what they charge. Only positive thing, maintenance was friendly! Lori, not so much!"

"Don't expect to get your security deposit back. I keep a clean apartment, I had no animals and it was just me living there. When I moved out I spent over an hour cleaning the oven itself. I cleaned EVERYTHING in the apartment, the shower, sinks, fridge, oven, stove, floors. They still managed to charge me $135 of my security deposit for "cleaning" of the things I listed above. Don't waste your time cleaning, they will take your money anyways!"

"I am a current tenant and upon calling to renew my lease they advised me my rent would be raised 10 dollars. At first I think, no big deal everyone raises rent and I have been here for a total of 5 years, it happens. Except when I google the apartments and they offer the same apartment to potential tenants at my original 469.00 monthly. While ten dollars is nothing to freak out over, I think being a loyal tenant who has never been late on one months rent should take precedence. Also they refuse to pave the parking lot, it has been ten plus years that I am aware of and has caused many car issues for all neighbors."
