The Magee-Womens Heart Program, a distinguished part of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute, is dedicated to the comprehensive diagnostics, assessments, and treatment of heart disease in women. Recognizing the unique risks, lifestyle factors, and biological differences that women face compared to men, we tailor our prevention and treatment plans to meet each woman’s distinct needs.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the U.S., and our Women's Heart Program team collaborates extensively with physicians both within and outside our network to ensure high-quality care. We commonly work with a variety of specialists but are open to collaborating with any healthcare providers involved in your care.

Our program offers innovative assessments, testing, and treatment options designed to address each woman’s specific needs. We also assist women in managing peri- and post-menopausal symptoms and provide comprehensive discussions on the pros and cons of hormone use. For accurate diagnosis and treatment, we employ a wide range of tests tailored to each patient’s condition.
