"When they say "back to health" they really mean it - including and beyond chiropractic adjustments. I came to Dr. Shara's practice postpartum, when I stopped breastfeeding - and wish I would've come earlier including throughout my pregnancy. I've lived my whole life terrified of adjustments, and was working with a wonderful physical therapist on some back and hip issues from pregnancy, but unfortunately we couldn't fix my severe back pain (so much so I was limping around). Dr. Shara came recommended from that same physical therapist (another small, women-owned business in Alexandria) and I am so grateful. Dr. Shara was extremely considerate and gentle with my adjustments - I didn't want my neck worked on initially and there was no pressure to do so. "Katie Zimmerman is a true gem. I am so grateful that she was assigned to me for my chiropractic adjustments. She has wonderful bedside manner. She’s empathetic, attentive, understanding and reassuring. I had a not so favorable encounter with another chiropractor and I was leery about allowing her to adjust me; but I trust this woman. She has also been a key asset in my health journey because she IS healing me in other ways through my adjustments. This practice really does nurse us (or at least me) back to health! I always leave feeling calm and grounded after our sessions. The ladies at the front desk are kind and helpful too. I was agitated before I first came to this practice (likely because my nervous system was off), and it may have rubbed off on the receptionist, but things quickly shifted after I met with Katie and she eased my concerns. "Dr. Shara is one of the most caring health professionals I’ve met in my life. Dr. Shara has an uncanny ability to explain complex health issues in a way that relates to non-health people. I never felt dumb or insecure about anything in her office. She followed up with me when I needed something outside of the office and truly listened to my concerns. This is all before knowing about her genuine skill set as a chiropractor. I’m a pretty big guy and she was able to provide care with ease. I always felt notably better when I left an appointment with her. I cannot recommend Dr. Shara enough to anyone who is nervous or unsure of who to go to for back pain. 10/10 would recommend."
