Vertical Plus MRI

"Very bad experience. I travelled 5 hours for a stand up mri and was told by the receptionist that yes I could have one done. We saw pictures of stand up mri’s , it was posted in the office and on the business card. It was all a lie. They don’t do the stand up. However they sent the information that they don’t do so with my doctor. In all the times that I talked to the receptionist was I told they couldn’t help me. They knew I had a five hour drive and that I had to pay out of pocket. When I contacted the manager to ask if I could have some kind of discount since I didn’t receive my stand up and she said that I received a good price and she didn’t give me a discount. False advertising . This is not right in any way. What should I do next? Spend thousands again for another company to lie with advertising."

"Older lady at check in desk was EXTREMELY rude. I didn’t have MRI done. I’ll go back to Warsaw Beyer Building where I know people are nice!"

"The tech was mean and rude. Temperamental. Hard to sit still when your neck isn't stable. Drove an hour and a half for nothing. Zero compassion or understanding when pain radiates through your whole body 24-7."

"I went there a couple years back due to a shoulder injury and the lady was not happy with me. She kept getting very upset with me because I was breathing wrong and messing up the scan, she kept yelling at me that I couldn't move at all which is true but keep in mkne I was 14 with claustrophobia and anxiety. Of course I couldn't sit still or breathe right. But I was only 14 and this woman had absolutely no sympathy whatsoever and just got fed up with me and sent me home saying "come back when you can get a better hold of yourself" I was a child. Very unprofessional, and I still think about it 6 years later.i will never go back even if it's dire."

"Please read before you attempt to schedule an MRI at Vertical Plus. They first read the doctor's order incorrectly (without contrast) and when I questioned the use of contrast, which I knew the doctor prescribed, they called me back to say the doctor did indeed order the MRI with and without contrast. Nicole said she read the doctor's order incorrectly and informed me that instead of my 2:45PM appointment, I would have to be there at 8:15AM because of the extra time involved in an MRI involving contrast. I woke up at 2:30AM and drove 250 miles through bad weather to make the appointment. After my check in, Patty the technician came out to get me. Before I even left the waiting room she informed me that my shoulders were to broad for the 18 inch opening in their machine. In conversations with the staff including Nicole, they were made aware of my size. Patty was matter of fact, not taking into consideration that most people attempt this type of MRI due to claustrophobia. Which after seeing the MRI cannot figure out, their MRI machine is extremely narrow. As Patty explained, you are pulled back 2 1/2 feet into this narrow space. The machine looks very old, it is one of the original FONAR machines built way back in the early 2000s. Of course I had no choice but to listen to their apologies and drive the 250 miles back home."
