"On July 26 at 7:55 PM, I, Kenneth Smith, an African American man, paid for gas at the tank and walked into Shell USA gas station establishment. I noticed the cashier, who is an older white woman by the name of Cindy, watching me the entire time I was in the store and ignoring the rest of the customers. I grabbed two water bottles and went to the cash register. Cindy informed me that I needed to be ID for the waters and would not ring me up without proof of identity. When I asked for an explanation, I was told “The FDA passed a new law that if water has too much electrolytes it needs to be carded”. Because I did not want to cause a scene, I complied. When I went to pay, she looked at me and stated “Smile so your face isn’t so ugly”. After this, I left without paying attention to this or creating a scene. This is highly offensive and demeaning towards me. I cannot believe after walking into a gas station this could happen to me…in 2024. This does not show a promising future for many who look like me and others of different backgrounds by doing business with a company like this."

"Quick place to stop and get gas or a snack/drink, convenience store was clean and checkout easy. Plenty of room to navigate pumps though entry/exit was a bit dicey."

"The women manager was rude as hell. She wasn’t using her words nor was there a sign on the door saying the store was closed. She kept gesturing throat cutting gestures to every guest coming in. If a store is to be “closed” there should be operating hours. I work in a retail space and have never experienced such a disgust with the public as the women I dealt with tonight. After even asking to use her words she stared at a mass of people in disgust. She should not be in service. If she is so genuinely disgusted with her job then maybe make a change. Community doesn’t change without each other and her actions tonight should how she felt about herself. Do better."

"I went here this morning and experienced discrimination from the STORE GM supposedly she is the GM of the store, HER NAME IS LINA. I came in to purchase tobacco products and I was clearly discriminated against, it’s sad because she is supposed to be the GM of the store. I would assume if she is discriminating against customers she is treating her employees even worst. She must be a horrible person with the way she treated me today. I do not understand what I did to get discriminated. She also is not the brightest because she cannot read an ID properly, nor did she even attempt to scan my drivers license that I use going in and out of an airport?? She obviously should not hold the position that she does if she cannot properly do her job. I am reporting this to the BBB as well. I do not believe anyone else should endure the problems brought upon the store GM, Lina."

"Open 24 hours however, from 12am-5am if you want anything in the store you have to go up to the window and push the red button to ask for items in the store. There is a decent size cubby that can accommodate 12 packs and many other store items. A little inconvenient,but still gets the job done if you’re going in for a quick beer run or for some snacks."
