"Jo Anne at Shabby Chateau is a joy to work with. My husband and I moved into a new home about three years ago. We wanted our home to look beautiful and cohesive, but didn’t know what style we wanted or where to start. We decided to hire Jo Anne to design our living room, as this is the first room you see entering the house. She listened to our ideas and needs and came up with an exceptional plan. She helped us at each step of the way, guiding our choices in furniture and lighting, draperies and accessories. We went on personal shopping trips together and picked out beautiful pieces. Due to supply chain and staffing issues with one of the furniture companies we used, there was an unfortunate series of events that occurred. Furniture was made with mismatched fabric and incorrect pieces were delivered. Jo Anne took the reins and took care of every detail for us. She spent hours on the phone with customer service over several months, getting every problem sorted out. Now, our living room is complete and we couldn’t be happier. It is a calm, beautiful, comfortable and inviting place to hang out and to entertain guests. Every person who visits tells us how beautiful the room is. We hear a “Wow” from each guest. "There are times when you find a partner on a project, and you just know that God brought you together. Collaborating with Jo Anne was one of those times for me. Jo Anne shares not only her creative vision for a space but goes beyond to become a trusted advisor and friend. As the Chief Finance Officer at Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, I am responsible to our donors for overseeing much of the ordering, accounts payable and finances of the ministry. Having an honest and detailed person who makes herself available personally to answer questions, provide detailed paperwork and help schedule, manage, and arrange deliveries is something that is vital in a designing project that covered 50,000 square feet over a period of twelve months. The office spaces that Jo Anne created for me and for my department span four rooms that seamlessly work together for the functions that we need to accomplish. The offices are bright, and Jo Anne found a way to give each room a charm that matches each staff members personality while carrying the design colors, window treatments and flooring throughout. Jo Anne is a person of excellence and is someone that I highly recommend for any interior decorating project or refurbishing. "When working with Shabby Chateau, LLC you gain a true partner in your vision! Jo Anne's eye for design and her instinctive ability to ask the right questions when it comes to how the space will be utilized makes the process flow so well! This Chief Development Officer space, inside the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley in Youngstown, needed to serve multiple purposes. Jo Anne worked with our team at the Mission to marry function with a look that was clean and attractive. Using one side of the office as a photo studio, the wall mounted backdrops works well when needed for client testimonial photos and video production to share the story of what takes place at our shelter. Because the Mission exists to Proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as we promote accountability and provide emergency food and shelter, there are many stories to tell and Jo Anne found a way to make that possible in a single space. From the flooring to the window treatments and the color choices to the office furniture, this workspace is efficient and enjoyable. Jo Anne was kind, courteous, dedicated, careful, and was a great listener while giving great advice to our team. She worked within the project budget and found many opportunities to pass along additional savings. The Mission was able to keep our promise to our donors that we would be excellent stewards of the donations that they lovingly gave to build the new 50,000 sf homeless shelter in Youngstown, Ohio because of the vendors we were blessed with, like Shabby Chateau, LLC.
