"This place should not be in business. They never call you back or set you an appointment whole on the phone, the person who spise to set up appointments is never in or they say.....tell you the same story everytime but never leads anywhere they have no compassion or care for there patients or customers. Would not recommend this place to anyone."
"Edit: a year later and all four extraction sites still ache, experiencing gum recession and sensitivity to the teeth next the extraction sites. I was in serve pain for 3 weeks later and day 21 my face was still swollen and could not eat hard food and was still taking Tylenol. When I was in pain to the point of endlessly crying for a week straight (very draining for me and my partner) it was impossible getting ahold of the surgeon number they provided and resident on call line they provided. I really regret having this done here. As I am typing this my top extraction site is achy and hurting. I have zero cavities and keep good oral hygiene so it’s nothing on my part. The pain was so bad at week three still I had to go to the ER and get treatment and learned that because reception failed to tell me I wasn’t supposed to eat (I’ve never gone under before) they had to just numb me. Took an hour and fourty minutes to complete, suffered ripped cheek muscle which caused all that pain initially “apparently”. I literally got up from the chair in the worse pain I’ve ever had in my life and sobbed ( the other people waiting for their appointment started to question if they should still go back from the looks of their facial expressions seeing me) the entire way to walgreens and home. I have many tattoos, pricing, and have been in accidents and have never felt pain like this. Everyone I have spoken to has said this is as extremely abnormal. The student oral surgeon and actual oral surgeon were very dismissive of me. I am highly disappointed this is how they treat their own students seeking care with them. I have an appointment elsewhere to get checked since I am still in pain a year later. I am a student here at umich and have been trying to schedule my appointment for wisdom teeth removal after my consultation however they will not return my calls despite calling for months. They were waiting on a document from my cardiologist which they claimed after 6 months they never received. I’ve offered to fax, screenshot, or email the report from MyChart and still no response after call after call. Starting to give up but my wisdom teeth hurt a lot and it’s giving me anxiety so I’ll keep trying :( I even went into the office since I’m on campus and they just had me call again, the operator left a note for the front desk but as you expected no return call."
"The person to speak to about TMJ is always out of the office. My Sent in a referral and I was told someone would call me nobody has called me that was six months ago. Terrible Customer Service ."
"I just got my wisdom teeth removed there and everything felt very rushed. They spoke to me about the possible risks for a long time and the actual procedure took about 20-30 minutes. As they were hacking away at my teeth and bone they did it in such a hurry that it felt like I was nothing but a corpse that they were practicing on. As a person with anxiety, I can’t expect people to treat me more cautiously. What I can expect is for doctors to keep that in mind and try to reassure me throughout the procedure. I understand that there are a lot of appointments one after another and timing is an issue but everything felt very unprofessional. As I am sitting in here in a lot of pain, all I can wonder and ask myself is “what if they did something wrong during my procedure because it was so rushed?” While that is most likely not the case, that question still lingers in my mind because of the care I was given while I was there. This review is not meant to be hurtful, only explain my experience there."
"I can't sing the praises of Dr Mohamed Hakim DDS and his team enough! They were presented with an emergent, atypical surgery situation that saved my 72 yr old mother's life. She was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks after. They kept us informed daily of her progress and what the next steps would be. They personally taught me how to dress and care for her wounds. They held her hand when there was bad news and celebrated her successes with her. They all truly cared about her and her progress. We will all be forever grateful and highly recommend Dr. Hakim and his team! He is a genius and his interns are learning from the best in their field!"
