"Waited 8 hours in the waiting room of the ER, along with dozens of others. Zero concern or sense of urgency from staff in the ER. They give you an attitude and act like you're inconveniencing them when you ask when a room will be available, and that's after spending over a third of a day sitting in metal chairs that make jail cells look comfortable. Avoid this place at all costs!"

"Update: last year's experience was horrible because my doctor didn't take me seriously that I was dizzy and naucious. But yesterdays visit was much better I had Lauren as my nurse who couldn't of been sweetter and put me at ease and I had Dr Erdman who talked to me at at me, over me. Explained what I had and how to take care of myself. Sure it was still a 3-4hr wait but my care team was much better"

"Negative stars. (Update below) Went in when my pregnant wife was puking blood (a lot of it) she has a history of esophagus issues and acid reflux so it is very concerning when blood comes up because it means a tear in her esophagus or stomach, something she has had before and is very bad. We go in and are promptly taken back and the nurse was nice and joked and was being very helpful and said that he would try to get her a GI referral so we can get seen and tested. He sympathized with our concerns of high risk for cancer due to constant acid and treated our concerns as valid and actually gave helpful advice. He took a blood sample to test different protiens to see if she was low or anything concerning was present. And he did a good job of breaking the tension and being friendly. Then we wait.. And wait.. And wait… Keep in mind we left at like 5am because blood is never a good thing to see in puke.. And wait.. And finally we have enough and push the “push for service” button and someone rushes in and asked what they can do. We ask what is going on because we have no clue and it is now 930am. She gets the doctor within a minute and he says “oh everything is fine and we see on the blood that your hemoglobin is normal and all this is normal, you don’t have esophagus bleeding if you did then these would be off” (well whopdedo but she still has blood going down her throat and can feel and taste it) we try to tell him that and he ignores us and prescribes a proton pump inhibitor that paralyzes the stomach. The very thing we said had done a lot of damage to her the last time she was on them. They don’t help the situation they just make the stomach stop producing acid until it wears off but when it does it comes back worse and the last time she was on them she has so much acid reflux and puking she tore her throat more. But “it would show up differently on the bloodwork if she was bleeding” So now we are waiting for the doctor to let us go, it is now 950 and we have not had food or water at all this morning and have been in this hospital for 5 hours now. Nurses here are nice and helpful. Doctors here suck so bad. So so Soo bad. Dr. Kavanagh was arrogant and cold and did not even listen to us when we tried to say that we actually had a problem. And now we are out finally and she is still puking blood and now has a PPI prescribed that we know hurts her system and actually makes it worse. He denied that she has esophageal bleeding even though she is still actively puking, and said the bloodwork was fine even though we are looking at it and it shows signs of massive infection and inflammation. So I don’t know where this guy got his degree but he got his masters in being unhelpful and unsympathetic. The nurse was far more knowledgeable and kind and actually referred us a good GI doctor and told us some ideas to help. If only he was not overridden by the doctor who denied any problems. Sad that this is the only place we can go to in an emergency in this entire area. I feel like if I went in with a gunshot wound they would say I will be fine and give me an antibiotic and a bandaid. (Update!) Still very mad. This place is an absolute joke and a horrible place to go. We went in again to this hell hole of an ER because she puked up so much blood I found her passed out on the toilet with blood in the bowl and on her shirt, we get there only to wait for 3hrs just to be brought back and then two more hours just to be put on antacids again for stomach bleeding even though it literally has been weeks of this and we have gone in there so many times because we don’t know what else to do.. I’m genuinely scared about going here again.. waste of time waste of money and waste of headache… and no I don’t want a phone call to hear you say again that “we strive for excellence” you don’t. Edit again. They also left the previous persons urin in our room and it smelled awful."

"Unfortunately my first poor experience with this location. Left me very upset. I came in via ambulance due to a chemo medicine reaction. I was placed in triage for 4 hours. I'd asked if my chemo team could be contacted (phone died due to long wait) and was told they had been. When I finally could reach the infusion clinic, they told me no one had reached out to them...when I was finally seen, I had vitals and blood work done and was told to follow up with my primary. 4 hours in triage for tachycardia is not okay...my HR fortunately balanced out thanks to fluids from the ambulance... Nursing staff felt clueless, almost like they were still students. Upon discharge I needed to change the gauze from my IV removal and the nurse simply had me remove it myself and put my own new gauze back on... I could tell it was busy but wow...the compassion was not there and I wish I had anything positive to say."
