"If I could give zero stars I would. Doctor told me he didn’t want to put me on certain meds because he didn’t think it was worth the adverse effects. Then 9 months later he’s encouraging me to go on the same meds (which I was happy because I believe I need them), it’s been three months of endless phone calls to get a prior authorization completed. Just got notice from the insurance company that it was denied because the doctor/office did not complete the “more info” forms that my insurance company sent 4 times and I called three times about. My last call the office informed me the reason for this is because my doctor took an extended vacation and left no one to cover his patients, which blows my mind. Also I called the nurse on call about another medication. I wanted to get their opinion, the nurse pretty much told me I didn’t know what I was talking about pertaining to my own health history and laughed at me for being uneducated (I am an ICU nurse with plenty years experience and absolutely know and understand my own health history). My question was pertain to a specific medication and her behavior was disgusting. Nurses should not be out here degrading patients and acting superior to people. She clearly did not look at my history or acknowledge my occupation in my chart. I’ve never been so sickened by an office and providers behavior."
