"The Fort is well preserved and maintained. Although signage and instructions are quite lacking as well as the staff's ability to communicate professionally and politely. When I arrived and parked I proceeded directly to the entrance of the fort and took a few pictures and admired the exterior. Then proceeded into the fort and around to the various buildings, reading the few informational signs and taking more pictures. Upon exiting the Fort, which for me alone took about 10-15mins to tour completely, I was stopped by a staff member who demanded I follow them to the office to pay the admittance fee... after I was done, with no signs instructing anyone to the barn/office to pay to enter."
