Laser Eye Surgery of Erie, Dr Robert Haverly 311 West 24th Street, Erie, PA 16502

"Ugh. I have to take my elderly mother to him tomorrow. It's always difficult. I will say that this guy is very professional and quite skilled but dang! The office and staff and appointments are always so insufferable. I told my mom that I would no longer be accompanying her to her visits there because it sucks so much. Unfortunately she can't see afterwards so I have no choice. Haverly talked my mom into getting these inordinately expensive eye shots for macular degeneration. At first it was 6 shots. Then 12. Then she needs them for the rest of her life. She has very painful reactions to them for days afterwards. He said "Take Tylenol". Last time I accompanied my mom I was told that I was not allowed to wait in the WAITING room. I dunno, some bizarre policy they have. Weird. We were settled in an exam room when an aide came in and told my mom that she had to move to a different room several doors away. My mom has a serious knee injury and was using a walker. I protested because her mobility is limited. We were told that her being in that particular room "impeded the flow of traffic". Seriously? When Haverly finally came in for his six minute exam/shot he kept telling her she needed to to get the shots. I counted 6 times he insisted that her receiving the injections was vital. Then the receptionist tried to bully my mom into scheduling another shot. She got very insistent. All these injections and my mom's vision continues to deteriorate. I'm thinking this medication must be highly profitable. Can't wait to see what delights await us during tomorrow's visit. Hopefully my mom will switch to another practitioner."

"What can I say, besides such an amazing experience!! Only 4 days out from LASIK surgery, already one of the best decisions of my life!! Starting with the free consultation, where Almynd explained everything step by step. She made me feel welcome right from the start. The pre-op appointment went smoothly with Dr. Hilinski and Dr. Haverly, both answering all the questions I had regarding the surgery. My surgery was the next day, where again everyone made it such a comfortable experience, as scary as one may think that this could be. The surgery went very smoothly and quickly. I was at least able to read the clock post surgery even though it was blurry to be expected. The next day, the post-op follow-up, I was able to see 20/20, possibly better!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff at Laser Eye Surgery of Erie!! "As most people probably are for lasik, I was absolutely terrified. Special thanks to Almynd, Dr. Haverly and Bill for keeping me cool, calm and collected the day of surgery. I have been telling people nonstop about my surgery since I had it done last July. I PROMISE you it is not bad at all! I felt NOTHING! NOT A THING! I did my surgery at 8am and rested for the entire day. Every time I opened my eyes from a nap, I could see better and better. It was nuts. It's still crazy to me that I just wake up everyday not needing glasses or contacts to see. I've had some slight dry eye here and there when the weather changes but overall, 0 problems since surgery.
