About Us

Innovative Diabetes Management, part of Central Ohio Primary Care, is dedicated to providing exceptional care and education to individuals managing diabetes. Located at 5202 Bethel-Reed Park, Suite 100 in Columbus, Ohio, our specialized program offers comprehensive support to help you achieve better health outcomes.
Our program begins with a physician referral, followed by a detailed questionnaire to tailor our approach to your specific needs. Our structured classes span four weeks, with one two-hour session each week. These classes are designed to educate you on effective diabetes management, including blood sugar testing if you're new to it. We're here to assist you with any questions about obtaining a glucose meter.
We encourage you to bring a support person to each class at no additional charge. Upon completing the series, your progress will be documented and shared with your doctor.
Our patients' success stories speak volumes about the effectiveness of our program. One patient proudly shared, "For the first time since I've been taking my blood glucose levels, I am below 100...I registered at 98!"
We also offer tailored support for children and teens with diabetes, providing resources and checklists to help manage their condition effectively at school.
If you're ready to take control of your diabetes, fill out our form, and we'll help you find the perfect doctor for your healthcare needs. Existing patients can conveniently schedule appointments through MyChart or by calling our office.

"I was referred to this place by my endocrinologist. I have made repeated calls, only to be passed on to the same voice mail box each time and leaving a message. My workplace does not appreciate us being on our phones except during breaks, and I have been playing phone tag for months. Someone finally reached out with an email. However, there are no evening classes, no classes on Friday (my one day off), and the morning classes start at 9:30 am. Apparently, services are only available to people who don't work. I am also having difficulty ascertaining whether or not my insurance would even cover these visits. It may be a wonderful place, but if you have to work for a living, it isn't an easy place to visit."
"After being STRONGLY encouraged to go to the class and being told there would be no charge (they charged me); they had me sign in like I would have been absent from middle school if I didn’t attend. Worst of all, when I told them I skipped my diabetic eye exam for the year, the woman I was talking to clicked her tongue several times to shame me . . . . what, am I in the third grade ? I will NEVER going to a diabetes education class ever again because of this very poor experience."
"Good listening skills and great people skills."
"I was referred to Emily Peters by my primary care physician.for high triglycerides. Emily went through my current foods that I eat and reviewed my latest blood work. She provided me with literature on dietary foods for my issues."
