"I put a 5 star when I first started because I would get a candy bar and it seemed to be great. Fast forward to now. Every time I come now it is SO beyond slow. Waiting in line for over 2 HOURS to not even be on the floor. The girls sticking take their time and giggle and chat the whole time with no regard to time and how many patients there are waiting. I bruise every time. There are some really great people who work here, but then you get the ones who don’t care and slack off really making it a long miserable experience. It’s been dreadful for the last few times I’ve come with the waiting in long lines and painful sticks."
"They are so disorganized upfront and have zero communication. Then they get defensive when you address them over it. I left because they kept bruising me meanwhile b positive never did. Unfortunately now I can't get back into b positive because they only have 1 new donor appt a day. I had an aggravating experience last week because the staff wanted to keep standing around and gossiping. 4 of them saw me sitting there waiting for a nurse off to the side. Yet no one told me that I was sitting in the wrong spot. Why? Because none of them communicate. Then when I finally saw a physician, she told me i had bug bites. Which is not the case. I told them I have dermatology issues and even my pcp agrees. They have a referral in for a dermatologist. My bumps are clean and dry and likely due to my arthritis. Anyone with automimmune issues knows that it can lead to flare ups with skin conditons. But as long as my bumps are not weeping, i can donate. Try hiring educated staff. That's just sad."
"Overall a good experience here. Every staff member I interacted with was extremely kind and helpful. My first visit as a new patient was 3 hours from entering to exiting. It was slow to get started because it wasn't clear what I was supposed to do as a new patient. There was a sign that said to wait at the front desk for a staff member, but it didn't seem like there was anybody tending to the front. One of the ladies doing vitals tests was doing double duty on front desk too, so I guess she didn't realize I needed help at first. Once she got me started, it took a while to do everything, but it moved at a pretty regular pace - I wasn't sitting around waiting for very long."
"I've been coming here over a year so I can confidently say this is the slowest thing I've ever had to deal with in my life. Makes the lines at Disney world look like the NASCAR speedway. The entire Cold War was faster than donating plasma at Wilkes Barre CSL. Don't even bother unless you have 3 hours+ to spare. None of the staff cares about your time, and everyone has 2 speeds, slow and stop. it's not worth waiting 3-4 hours for $50. You'd do better working more at your job. My personal hell is waiting in the lines at CSL plasma. No I'm not emailing or calling any line. I'm gonna keep publicly saying how terrible it is until something actually changes. What a joke."
"Please hire an efficiency expert consultant. You will recoup your money back in a week. While the phlebotomy staff work extremely hard, the operations routine is so inefficiently mismanaged, it's painful to wrap our heads around how you can function this way and be OK with it. Then you utilize a salary for someone to stand around putting stickers on bags!? Not a good way to use badly needed resources. Empty beds aren't making money & people standing against walls aren't making money. 2-3 hours is a common waiting time spent there while 8+ beds are empty for >20 minutes. I'm not blaming the phlebotomy staff, its just the process, how profoundly unfortunate. Imagine if it ran efficiently & effectively, how many more people could be processed in 3 hours."
