"The most frustrating experience- I have donated plasma previously at different establishments, but recently moved and wanted to try CSL Medina out. When I walked in there were 4-5 employees behind the counter chatting away, and no one greeted me for the first two minutes I was standing there. They are overly picky about paper work, giving me problems with paperwork I have used at other establishments saying "we aren't the other places." My W2 had my middle initial instead of my full middle name which for some reason was a huge issue. I was taken back to do a vein check and was told by two nurses that my veins are "too small." I explained to them that I have donated plasma in the past and showed them my scar from the venipuncture site. She said she saw it, but it is still too small to use (in the arm I have used to donate before). I drank a ton of water prior to arriving but was told it wasn't enough. When I was leaving, I tried to explain my frustration about being told my veins were too small and the lady giving me my paper work back told me if the phlebotomist said they are too small then they are too small. I asked what I could to differently so that I could successfully donate here next time, and was told I can't donate here because of my veins. Like at all, ever. As stated in previous reviews, it very much seems like the employees working here have very little desire to do their jobs and will turn down perfectly good candidates to avoid doing so. Everyone here needs to have customer service training. The only polite employee was a younger woman who took me back to get my veins checked. She was the only one who apologized for the frustration because she seemed confused about me being told no as well. Highly recommend Grifols, as they won't waste your time."

"Friendly, efficient and each experience has been positive. I love donating just because I know I'm helping so many others with something as simple as my plasma."

"Donated plasma for years at another CSL location. The staff here told me my veins are too small to donate. Who knows. Also drinking 4 liters of water in the 12 hours before is apparently too little water anyways. And the staff also seem to know the amount of food I had for breakfast and that it wasn’t enough. (They only asked when I had it). They were fishing for every reason to not work. Never once saw this at the other location. At least I was there for only 10 minutes I guess."

"Don’t recommend this location. Half the staff are nice and half the staff are rude/couldn’t care less about you. It’s very disheartening when you’re trying to do a good thing and you’re met with rudeness during your appointment and pain/bruising afterwards. Also, you’ll be turned away if you’re a “hard stick” and they’ll blame it on you somehow (say you need to drink more water even when you drank a gallon before coming, etc). It honestly feels like many of the workers here don’t know what they’re doing."

"I have been super happy with my experience every step of the way. All the staff are friendly and helpful. I have been donating regularly for a couple months now, and have yet to have a bad experience at this location. It is so quick, I'm usually in and out within an hour and 15 minutes."
