If you are considering donating plasma for the first time, you will need:

- A current, valid photo ID (must be 18 years old)

- Social Security Card

- Proof of current address (such as a piece of mail postmarked in the past 30 days or a current lease)

- Active military personnel should provide both their physical address and the address where they receive mail.What to Expect:

- Initial Visit: Your first visit will take 1-2 hours, including a suitability screening, educational video, medical history review, and health questionnaire.

- Return Visits: Subsequent visits will be shorter. It’s recommended to call ahead to get an estimate of the quickest times for donation.

- Comfort and Amenities: Enjoy free WiFi and HD televisions while you donate. Feel free to bring books, tablets, magazines, or music players (with headphones).Donation Process:

1. Check-In: A staff member will greet you, check your documents, and guide you through the initial steps.

2. Screening: Watch an educational video, undergo a free health screening, and complete a medical questionnaire.

3. Donation: If deemed suitable, you will proceed to donate plasma. Allow up to two hours for your first visit.

4. Compensation: After a successful donation, you will be compensated. You can return for your second donation after 48 hours.Preparation Tips:

- Stay well-hydrated by drinking 6-8 cups of water or juice the day before and the day of your donation.

- Eat protein-rich and iron-rich meals at least 3 hours before donating.Guidelines:

- Frequency: You can donate plasma twice within a seven-day period, with at least 48 hours in between donations.

- Follow-Up: It’s important to return for a second visit within 2 to 14 days to ensure your first donation can be used in life-saving medicines.Additional Services:

"Staff is awesome the issue is that it has taken me over 2 hours just to be seated to be hooked up. It's absolutely ridiculous to make doners wait to that excess. You claim we get a larger amount when we first donate but it takes longer now. They have refused to get proper staffing and it just seems to get worse. It was after 10pm the last time I donated before it was done. I walked in before 6pm... not sure how this is justified. It's sad when I used to love coming here because it was always under an hr. Now that they have changed and no longer have proper staffing to support the amount of doners coming in... it's literally the worst. You want a 5* review? Make it a 5* experience... 3-4 hrs of waiting is awful..."

"This is maybe the worst place to donate. The employees are extremely lazy and do not get people on the donor floor in a time manner opting to stand and talk instead. Management is incompetent to create a smooth operation alongside their employees. Now all of this could be stomached if the phlebotomists weren’t rude which is honestly the worst part. I strongly recommend no one donates here until all of management is fired and the other staff is rigorously screened for laziness."

"Cleanliness is very poor, you will find blood in the bathroom & I had to ask the phlebotomist to wipe off my seat after finding s blood splatters still present. After already having poor customer service and extended wait times it’s an all around head ache to visit . If you’re lucky enough to choose I would recommend the canton facility."

"The staff at my location were great! However, the policies of this company, not so much. I went through an hour of processing before someone took my temperature, and it was too high to proceed! Could have saved me and staff a lot of time had they done that when I first walked through the door. Octapharma needs to CHANGE THE ORDER IN WHICH THEY DO THINGS!"
