"Lobby smelled clean and fresh. Yes there was no one at reception just a phone number to call and they sorted out registration and e-keys. Different but it seemed to go smoothly. Pros: Great location smack dab in the middle of Palmer next to a little park and close to a few food places. Water pressure in the shower was pretty great. Loved the alarm clock tech station, had a charging cradle for my phone and a time display that you could aim at the ceiling; it was fun. Bed and pillows were comfy and appeared clean. Dish network for TV. Cons or odd/weird stuff: The no staff is not what I am used to but thankfully we really didn't need anything. The nightstand drawers were blocked by a utility box maybe? so you couldn't open thr drawers. Our room was on the 3rd floor but the elevator only went to the 2nd floor and the view consisted of the neighbor's roof. Wifi kept logging me off."
"Stayed here for one night so we didn't have to drive all the way from Denali to Seward in a day. This was the perfect overnight stop: comfortable room (we stayed in one of the big rooms on the third floor) and an on-site laundry! The desk clerk offered to make change for us. It's a genuinely weird little hotel: all the 3rd-floor balcony rooms open onto a single very large balcony (which means someone could come into your room through the balcony door, if you leave it open) and the elevator only goes to the 2nd floor, but it worked fine for us. As a bonus, there was a town festival happening right outside the hotel while we were there that we enjoyed."
"Very pleasantly surprised when I reached the hotel. I don’t know why, but I was expecting a rundown motel, but this place is out of this world! The lobby is large, spacious, clean. Receptionist was extremely efficient, friendly and pleasant. Modern features like OpenKey phone app for door unlocking. But the biggest surprise was the room itself. It is huge! And classy looking! Very clean and completely modern decor. Smart TV so I could watch my own stuff. Touch nightstand lamps. All amenities I needed, like microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker etc. Restroom was awesome too. Modern tiling, everything clean and great smelling. Great pressure in the shower! Add to that, the insanely amazing location. Surrounded by picturesque mountains. Heart of downtown Palmer. Next to restaurants. And a huge balcony on top floor (reserved for rooms with balcony view) for the unrestricted view. I really wish i had booked this for more than one night. Absolutely amazing place. Do not think twice and go for it."
"We came to town for medical appointments. The photos on line did not depict the reality of this "establishment." In person, It looks like "transition housing." The main doors are not secure. There was no one staffing the front desk. There was a sign with a phone number to call for "check-in." We had reservations....and thought it meant we had booked a room. Our reservations were really questioning why we chose this place. While we were trying to call for service, a person walked in looking for a room. Our call resulted in more confusion & we hung up. The other person called the same number to try to book a room. Again, more confusion; when the person was instructed to give a credit card number before getting a room, the person said "No thanks" and hung up. We tried calling again---more confusion, then we were put on hold. Bottom line: It looks like transition housing. It smells like transition housing. The "dry cabin" we had at a coastal village had better ambiance than this place. It really is 'creepy.' Go somewhere else."
