"Black Pool is my second favorite geyser. This is the reason that I go down to West Thumb. The water is a gorgeous, turquis blue color. It has a Caribbean look to it. You also get a gorgeous view of Yellowstone Lake. Getting this pool and the lake in the same view is second to none. Parking here usually is not bad. We usually find a spot. There are also a bunch of other hot pots to look at. This is a must when you come to Yellowstone."
"If you are up to it and weather/cloud cover permitting , make your way towards the basins late into the night to be treated with a view literally out of this world! Regardless of the night sky view, there is something surreal and other worldly walking amongst the pools at night. Whatever time of day you do decide to visit this spot it is always a treat and please remember to leave no trace behind"
