Reviews
"I had not had the time to comment on the gratitude that my wife and I have with the staff of the departments, especially Mrs. Débora and Mrs. Gena McNeil and the maintenance staff, the maintenance staff are always friendly and have solved any problem and Ms. Débora and Gena are always attentive, friendly and always answering my questions. We are very happy and comfortable living here and I hope to last more years in the property, excellent administration."
"All they care about is money. The floors and counters aren't good. If someone parks in your spot they do nothing. Noise complaints go nowhere. Late fees to pay rent are $100. I am greatful to be gone. That place is a nightmare (will not put my real name in case of harassment)"
"Furnace was acting odd, but Cameron & Gena handled it quickly as always. Love the fast response maintenance and the property managers do their work to keep the community up and running here."
"I would have loved to stay in this area, a year and a half ago I gave this property 5 stars easily. But now, less than 2 years and 3 large rent hikes later, I feel as though I am being forced to look elsewhere to live. The rent used to be reasonable but now it's just too much for what little is offered (a small pool and hot tub and a minimal playground with a large grassy area that holds two picnic tables and a bench.) The reasoning given was to 'stay competitive with the area' which overall just feels like a bad excuse. Just because it's still the cheapest place in the immediate area does -not- mean it's worth the asking price which is gouging people who have little as is. After being contacted by email, I would like to share my response here, as I feel it better depicts my change in rating. ==== Good Morning, apologies for the late response, as I don't check my email as often as I should. The costs go up, but there is little added to the property as a whole to make that cost feel 'worth it' regardless of whether or not it is the cheapest in the area, while the more expensive properties have far more to offer in terms of amenities for their monthly costs. ----------- Are Apartment Amenities Free? Typically, apartment amenities are free. However, that just means you aren't paying a separate fee for them. Amenities are often included in the price of your rent. Often, apartment complexes with amenities can charge a higher rent price because of the apartment amenities they offer. Higher rent prices offset the cost of maintenance for amenities. Landlords generally use amenities to attract tenants and keep long-term renters happy. Apartment buildings often compete to offer more amenities than other buildings nearby. ----------- The above example is the crux of my low rating. Wingpointe has the wonderful advantage of having large, incredible greenspaces that are woefully underutilized. As a complex that offers pet friendly apartments, there are no pet friendly amenities. I would not consider the installed poo-stations as 'pet-friendly' as they are not for the pets themselves and are more of a necessity for the current renters to keep our shared spaces clean and sanitary which is to be expected and are a must. However, if any of the current residents want a space to allow their dogs the freedom to run and play and release some of the extra energy that could potentially turn into destructive behaviors if left unsatisfied (IE scratching at walls and doors, chewing door frames, corners, etc.) those residents have no option within the apartment complex to do so, and must pack up their furry family members to drive entirely to the other end of town where Heber has one single local dog park stationed across from the Smiths grocery store. This is so much more of a hassle for those that have so much more to deal with when it comes to the very little free time between work and family. Other more expensive complexes (IE The Commons and nearby Sequoia) have small fenced in dog areas standard upon move in. It would be nice to maybe even see a small summertime splash pad for the hotter months. Along with amenities like these, it would be nice to see some covered areas for seating that offer shade when enjoying the nice weather, as well as campground/public park style grills to foster a more close knit community. If they are safe enough for unsupervised use in campgrounds and parks, I feel as though they would be safe for use in a complex where a good portion of the units face the areas these could be stationed in. I understand that this may seem like a lot, but again, when looking at other complexes that offer similar, quality of life amenities like I have mentioned above standard on move in, it's hard not to be frustrated and taken aback when the rent goes up $300.00 in a single month with nothing to show for it aside from the explanation of 'trying to stay competitive'. I feel as though the items I have mentioned would go a long way to making Wingpointe as a whole, a more desirable and competitive complex."
"Management crew is amazing. It suck that parking space are harder to find at night and Sundays because of guest of people that live there (which they are supposed to park outside or they will be tow). Prices went little high and no spaces available to move to a smaller apartment made me take the difficult decision of moving away. Once again, management is amazing and always try to find a way to help and are 100% there all the time. People just take advantage when they aren't there and it's getting old after a few years."
