"The sushi class was way overbooked. I couldn’t see or hear anything the guy was saying due to being smooshed into a tiny space that they added a table to that was oriented differently and hiding behind the big vats of cider in the room. We did a Groupon tour of Mountain West way back when it was newer and more up and coming and it was amazing. They still have great drinks, but they’re definitely more costly. It has changed a lot since we were here last. The description online said we would be shown how to make three rolls, but he vaguely walked us through how to build a single nondescript roll, and then said have at it. We thought we were waiting for everyone to eat their first before he came back and taught us a different one because there wasn’t any communication regarding what was happening. There wasn’t enough rice for us to make the three rolls and had we not stood up in confusion after a while of sitting and wondering (because we couldn’t hear or see to know what was going on), we wouldn’t have even been able to do 2 as we got some of the last of it. I hope they realize in the future they need a bigger space, better communication/instruction, and to possibly have a cutoff of how many people can do a class at a time, seeing as there wasn’t space for everyone to adequately hear/see/learn as well as enough product for everyone to make stuff as described. The guy was nice enough and his sushi rice was perfect, but I thought there’d be more to it, especially considering the price. It was still nice to get out of the house. We decided to try to make our own sushi at home that weekend after this didn’t really scratch the learning itch. I had higher expectations for the class for sure."

"Love this place! We went for a storytelling event called Gearn which was fabulous. One of the owners of mountain west was there and she told a hilarious story that added to the amazing time. They cleared spaced for chairs inside and they also have venue space outside. We had a peach tumeric hard cider that tasted really good. They had a lot of drink options available on site. If you see an event at this location I would definitely recommend you go. Great people, great atmosphere and great drinks!"

"Organized a wedding shower here and the staff was amazing. It was supposed to be outside but the weather turned; they set us up in their tasting room before I could even ask about a plan B, and even made personalized signs for the couple. In every way they were helpful, kind and accommodating. Not to mention their cider, beer and cocktail selection meant everyone was happy. Would absolutely have an event here again. What a great team and space."

"Cider was more like wine than hard cider, with the profile leaning much more wet than dry. The Ras-perry was decent, but the Desolation cider was downright bad. Service was friendly and the atmosphere is nice and cozy. Definitely a niche winery but not something I'd seek out for cider. If the menu to your taste you'll enjoy it."

"I asked for Ruby and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the cotton wood and was blown away! Such a great tasting cider. I was never into ciders but I know now it's because I hadn't experienced art in action. I highly recommend this place as a must and a regular spot to your weekly adventures. Also they get extra points for utilizing the best of local food trucks. Also live music makes for a fantastic night."
