ABC Great Beginnings - Taylorsville

"I am not one to typically leave negative reviews, but being that this is a child care facility I find it fitting to do so. I am already not fond of my child/children having to be in daycares, but life is life and parents have to work. My son will go MAYBE 5-6 times a month, in those short times he was always picked up ridiculously dirty, his backpack was lost and nobody seemed to know where it went. I picked him up the first day and they had him sitting at a table with 4/5 yr olds WAYYYYYYYYYY bigger than he was, mind you he was 1. The second day I walked in and the teacher had about 5 children and didn’t even speak English! The last straw was my daughter picking him up and he was outside with his fingers stuck in the fence while the staff walked past him! My daughter had to help him get his fingers out while he was screaming! Then when she let them know their response was “omg, I didn’t even realize’” totally unacceptable! So to say the least we are pulling him out of this place! I wish I had gone with my first gut instinct. You walk in and the place is dark and gloomy and smells terrible! The staff is unprofessional and come to work in pajama pants! I would definitely not recommend this daycare to any family."

"Ended up removing my child from here. Security became an issue for me when people let randoms in the front door without requiring them to enter their code. I addressed it with the staff twice but no changes were made. The final straw was catching a worker during pick up of my child making my child a formula bottle in the back rooms storage area. Children shouldn’t be allowed back there and my kid was on a strict breast milk diet that we brought plenty of every time. Something else to note was often when I came to pick up there would be 5 baby’s in the baby room with one worker. The state ratio is 1:4 and the max group size is 8. Tried to resolve the issue with the staff a few times without any success. We felt like instead of trying to work through these issues they were accusing us of lying about catching the worker but they wouldn’t review footage with us. We felt it best to find somewhere better for us. Some good things. A lot of very nice workers that know what they are doing. Easy drop off and pick up. Scheduling and payment set up was easy."

"Horrible day care. Smells, teachers look funky, and I even walked into my daughters class and there was NO teacher for 3min! After that we pulled our daughters out. And they are dififinatly happy somewhere else."

"This daycare has saved me as far as keeping my job. As a nurse, It is impossible finding a safe and caring child care provider for someone like me who works 12 hour shifts. The hours this daycare provides are amazing. Expensive yes, but with the care they provide my daughter I can not complain. I am so thankful for how quick they got me in and how accommodating they have been. I wish the other locations had the same hours, but overall I am so happy with the hours they provide. My daughter loves going here and has had no complaints. Safe is friendly, kids always look happy. I wish I would have known about this place sooner."

"My children have been attending this center for years. The staff is dedicated and professional. Laura (3's) and Shelly(4's) are great and my kids love them, Alyssa is little but spunky along with her aunt Crystal(3's). They have made us so comfortable my oldest has applied to work at this center. Since ABC has taken over I noticed a improvement of the staff morale."
