Jenson Lumber Do it Best

"If I could I would give them zero stars.... I went into the store today to order some base moulding to match existing moulding in my home, that I had ordered there before. I was told by the order desk that that particular moulding was discontinued. He did not offer an alternative of any price or style (even though I asked about it). His suggestion is that I should go to "Lowes or HomeDepot" to see if they sell anything similar. When I came home I found my some old documentation about what moulding I previous received, which contained the exact numbers of the type I had. I was able to track down the wholesale manufacture, they said they had that moulding is in stock and referred me to a different company to order it from. When I called the manufacture, they thought Jensen Lumber in Draper went out of business, they hadn't heard from them in while. I hate being lied to or misled.... I realize this was not a huge order, which shouldn't matter. This was some of the worst customer service I have dealt with.... Over the years I have bought stuff from them many times - but I don't plan on going there again."

"Everyone at Jensen does a fantastic job. If they don't have it, they can get it. Always fast delivery! To those complaining about curling or twisting Lumber, all I can say is user error! If you can't use it, store it properly. If you don't know how, don't blame the lumber yard! Specially 1x material!"

"My experience was good with them but they don't stand by their product. I purchased 20+ cedar 2x6's and most of them looked great. There were a few where we were forced to use one side or the other, but the biggest issue was that there were 3 boards that were super warped and resulted in like 1-3 inch gap between boards. I called to arrange an exchange/return. They said they'd have to check with their supplier and their willingness to refund them. Supplier said they've "never" had any complaints. They weren't willing to offer a refund since I'm calling 1 weeks from when I picked it up. It would have been less than a week but they've been closed for the last 3 days. I get that wood will bend but these have been stored in a garage away from direct sunlight and the elements. I won't be shopping with Jenson again."

"These guys are great with Customers. I used then to help build a deck for my wife's aunt. And they sold me good lumber at an affordable price. They were nice and helpful the whole way and made sure we had all the hangers we needed. They are a small town lumber place but they care about their customers."

"Young desk help, probably family, cute girls but not knowledgeable about things like which drill bit do I need for a certain project or do they carry a certain kind of glove, etc. Not as knowledgeable as I would like and in fact their loyal customers are the ones to ask for help, not the person behind the checkout. The location is good for the area. We use them often for our hardware needs, our company is a block away. They are smaller, but have most of what I need when I need it. A lot easier to navigate than their big box competition. Their finances probably limit their ability to hire and keep knowledgeable front desk help and there are not associates standing on each corner to ask questions... again, not a big box store, a home town store, which is preferable in my opinion. If they would make it a priority to teach their cashier's what inventory is where, I would give it a 5 star rating."
