Milt's Alterations

"I took 3 dress pants and 3 blue Jeans. I tried on the dress pants and he marked them at 33 inches inseam. He said he would do the jeans the same. When I returned to pick them up he said dress pants 32 inches blue jeans 30 inches. I asked home to repeat himself and he did and I disagreed with home. He said blue jeans are different than dress pants. I said I was no alterations expert but an inseam would seem to be an inseam? He said no blue jeans are different. I held them up to my side and they were shorter. He said he would go in the trash and see if he could find what he had cut off and sew it back on and I could come back. I came back and he fixed two of them to 32 and that was acceptable. He was not willing to do anything about the third pair of jeans? He is not a truthful man. In my opinion he is past is business prime. I do not recommend this business and would not do business here no matter the price. You will get what you pay for. Certainly pay after you get you finished product."

"Went in for a heel repair the bottom had shattered off. I wish I had a before pic cuz they did a fantastic job. Did get a little glue on the side buti don't think it's terrible."

"BEWARE, the owner is aggressive, rude, unprofessional and overcharges and then doesn't complete the work. I paid to have my boots stretched and he stretched one boot too much (ruined) and the other boot he didn't stretch at all. Extremely poor customer service and he doesn't have the skills to get the job done right. My next step is file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau."

"So grateful for repair shops like this. Thank you Milt for giving life back to my old, favorite boots. He was also able to stretch out a new pair of shoes for me. Will definitely be coming back again. Highly recommend! He may be grumpy sometimes, but I see that as being real and down to earth, which I prefer instead of superficial niceties. Besides, he gets the job done and excellently."

"I was warned not to take my boots to this place because "they don't know how to fix boots" but it's literally 4 minutes walking distance from my house. I was charged $90.00 (which I don't mind paying for good work and service) to have my motorcycle boots resoled. I purchased the replacement soles from the manufacture and brought them to Milt's to see what he recommended. He said this would be an easy re-soling job and he could have them ready in a few weeks. He also told me that if I had ANY problems bring them back and he would "FIX" it. I wasn't in a hurry so paid in full and I left them with him. 5 Minutes into my next riding session (which was a competition) one sole cam completely off and the other sole is only attached by about 40%. I lucked out because a friend had a spare pair of boots I was able to borrow. So, today I brought them back in so he could "FIX" them and the first thing he told me was they didn't stick because of some dirt that was on the boots. I asked him if he cleans the soles and surface to be glued prior to gluing them and he told me "of course I do". To which I replied: then how did dirt have anything to do with the soles not stinking? He then stated that the glue that is visible "wasn't his" and "some other place must have done the work". So I pulled out my receipt to prove that he did the work. He then told me that he would "TRY" again but it will cost me $25.00. That would be a total of $115.00 for a re-sole!! After asking him if there was any way he would honor what he told me when I first dropped them off to him "ANY problems bring them back and he would "FIX" it" he told me no and I would have to pay again. I should have listened when I was warned that "they don't know how to fix boots". It would have saved me the $90.00 that I spent on the first repair and whatever it is going to cost me to have it done by someone else. Such a shame. I wish it would have worked out better for everyone. Won't be donating anymore of my money to this place."
