"Would not recommend to anyone who is seeking quality therapy. I sadly found Alpha Counselling cares about one thing, and it is getting you to come back to pay for another appointment. I visited with my therapist after looking into EMDR Therapy and reached out to her before scheduling to make sure that she is willing to work on this with me. She happily agreed, and I visited with her for EMDR therapy 4 times. I found that each session was full of strategic stalling by the therapist, and it would take me over half the sessions time just to have her acknowledge why I am here today and what I need help with. Each visit was difficult to get her to help me with EMDR therapy, and I found myself stressed each session that she is taking all my time to talk about her past week or over small talk that was irrelevant. She even laughed our last visit when she pointed out that she has not yet helped me with anything. I agree, you have not helped me at all.... why have I spent $300 for you to do nothing but HELP me and you keep taking advantage of me instead of doing your job? How does that seem okay? Each time during the session I would ask for the therapy I am paying for, I was advised that we will "plan it for next time". After 4 times of this, with no reason as to why other than that she took my therapy time for her own chatter, I refused to go back and asked for a partial refund since I had paid for the full services each session -and still not been helped. Alpha Counselings owner Jeff refused any amount of a refund. He also took over a week to respond to me, and only did after I reached back out again frustrated. Jeff did not seem surprised to hear about this type of practice, so it seems like it is their go-to technique for keeping clients. Now I am out of this time and money, if I were to see another therapist I would be starting from scratch,. Save yourself the pain and look into how to do EMDR online. You can do it on yourself, or have a close friend help out and you will have amazing results and healing. This place has the worst therapy service I have gone to. I first hand experienced how unethical it is how they take advantage of their patients who are mentally ill and would just like help. I hope that they, along with all other therapists who practice this way are called out and demanded that they own up to their malpractice. I am not typically one to leave reviews- however this is unacceptable and there really is no excuse."

"I've been a client of Alpha Counseling for years. Jeff and his group are compassionate and caring individuals who actually care about the well being of their clients. I have heard many horror stories of people being in treatment and rehabilitation programs that were absolutely a joke with cold, uncaring therapists who lead everything they teach out of a book. These guys are different because they genuinely care. Over the years I've been involved in therapy with Alpha I have seen that people who have been totally unresponsive in therapy programs before respond rather positively here. After completing their program they offered me free group therapy whenever I need it from then on. That alone shows that the aren't here to harvest money out of people who need help, they are here to HELP. They are the most affordable and the best I have found. If you need therapy please do not hesitate to contact these guys. They offer a wide array of services and are the only ones I have seen that are willing to go that extra mile for people sincerely trying to better their lives."
