"It appears as though he found a hallowed plot of land and the shoes generally fix themselves, but he recently spilled some moonshine on the ground and the land is now cursed rendering him incapable of fixing shoes or his sewing machine. Which would also explain why he goes on lunch break for several hours each day."

"I went to get my thorogood boots repaired, these boots are worth like 300 dollars. this guy GLUED my leather boots together and put a single seam of sloppy stitches in. And by the way, my dad picked my boots up today and the seams are already coming out. I thought that there's no harm in trying since the thorogood boot repair is like 150 dollars, but my god was I wrong. don't come here, find a different place."

"I had been wanting to buy a new a pair of boots for a while now but was reluctant because of the price (I didn’t want Walmart boots, which means I’d have to cough up $200 for a decent pair). The pair I’d been wearing for years had seemingly given up the ghost. They were a pair from my navy days and the soles were completely worn flat. I really didn’t think they could be resoled but I brought them in anyway and this is the response I got: “These boots aren’t made to be repaired (well that sucks, I thought. At least I tried) but I can do it anyway”. Wait: what? Yeah, my boots could be repaired simply because this guy knew his way around a pair of foot wear. Under normal circumstances I’d have to just buy a new pair. I dropped them off and a week later got them back and they looked soooooo good! He even put some polish on them and buffed them up. Super cool knobby soles on them too and for only $55 ($58.30 after tax). Some of the reviews on here I feel are a bit unfair. He is a bit of an old timer cowboy type, so be aware that maybe your millennial personality type won’t mix perfectly with his, but his work speaks for itself. The only reason I gave it 4 stars out of 5 is because the store itself is a little cluttered, but that didn’t seem to affect his work. If you need boots repaired this guy knows what he’s doing."

"The old dude who works here and, I assume, owns the place is just old school. Now, this day and age it comes off as rude but really he's just the strong silent type... That being said I dropped a pair on shoes off, said the'd be like around $20, ended up being $80...The boots cost me $90; needless to say had I known, I would have just thrown them out but the workmanship was good, just would have been nice to know in advance."
