"Golden Cabbage broth was the most flavorful but super spicy for me so I had to change it out. Ended up with the Original and Tomato broth (half/half option) which were ok. Place is very nice."

"food quality: 4/5 service: 5/5 cleanliness: 5/5 value: 4/5 Tried out Happy Lamb Hot Pot, one of the new hot pot places in Salt Lake! This is another hot pot place that offers Chinese style hot pot with a variety of different meats, veggies, and starches. The staff was welcoming when we walked in and there was a cotton candy machine up front for guests to make their own. I was surprised that it was up front, assuming they need someone to tend to it constantly, but I don’t expect the machine to be around long. Before the night was over (8PM) they had already shut down the machine stating it was too messy. The choices for meat were decent and had two options - VIP with 7 meats or Premium to have the 7 plus an additional 8 meats. There were a few of the items try at you could get at the buffet, so I don’t feel like it was advertised accurately. Not really worth the extra $5 per person to get the premium, but had to try it. The food at the buffet was mostly refilled, but the drinks (milk tea and passionfruit green tea) which are included in the price paid, were not refilled the entire time we were there. By 7:30PM on Sunday, they were out and had no plans to refill. Our party of 6 fit into the booth with no problem, but the 2 people in the middle had a difficult time coming their food since the pots were further away. I think the design could have been better or maybe that table should not have seated 6. Other than that, it was overall a good experience."

"So many new hotpot places opening but I think this place is my favorite so far and I've tried a lot around the area. This place was fantastic. One of the cleanest hotpot places I've been too and it is super organized. From the buffet area where you grab your items for your hotpot (besides meats) to the sauces. The sauces was even organized very well. Everything tasted fresh and drinks are included with your meal! The drinks are fountain drinks, so you can get it yourself and refill whenever you need, which makes it super convenient. The buffet area also included fried rice, wontons, egg rolls, fried chicken wings, and others. There was a lot of variety. We ended up getting the tomato broth and the golden cabbage broth. Both were really good! The golden cabbage broth is a little spicy and sour, so if you like that then I think you'll like that broth. I was worried since Happy Lamb was a chain that it wouldn't be as good, but I was wrong. The service was really good too. Our server was busy helping another table, but another server noticed that it looked like we needed something, so he came over to help us get more meats. It's usually one server per table, but it seems like all servers help out each other as it gets busy, which I think makes a huge difference! I will definitely be back to try the other broths"

"This location lives up the hype, so excited we finally got one after having them in TX. The hotpot broth here is definitely the best in Utah. Specifically, it's very aromatic filled with herbs with a rich flavor. Another thing that was quite surprising was the quality of the ingredients; from the meat to the vegetables. Sauce bar is on point and they offer a good amount of side dishes as well. Again, I have to emphasize how fresh and well done everything was. The pot stickers were crispy, the chicken wings were crispy and juicy. Decent drink selection, try the passion fruit green tea you won't regret it. Only thing that I'd gripe about is lack of soft-serve (if you eat Hotpot frequently, soft serve goes so well after). Great service, great atmosphere. Will be bringing my relatives to try this."

"I’d never been to a hot pot restaurant before but if they’re all this amazing, sign me right up. The servers quickly brought out the meats we requested and were equally fast in cleaning up our dirty plates. The selection of ingredients to put in the hot pot was vast and the main “buffet” area was extremely clean and enticing. All in all, cannot recommend this place enough. Note: both the tomato and golden cabbage broths were amazing. I can also highly recommend the lamb shoulder."
