"A beautiful spot to enjoy some fresh air with family. The bank side is very sloped and a little difficult to set up a picnic or spot to sit. Other than seating, it’s a gorgeous place to relax!"

"The trail that follows the border of the reservoir kicked my butt—literally. There were at least three occasions in my worn out shoes that I slid down 6-12 ft on the steep overhangs because the pathways have been washed out. And then I had to cross the river in my bare feet multiple times since there were no bridges. I’m an adventure geek so it was great. If you’re a people person you can stick to the popular trails or easily head off on your own. It’s an extremely populated area all things considered. Definitely will be coming back!"

"Breathtaking picturesque place. A little bit chilly in the evenings. Great place for photo shoots, lots of people do engagement and pregnancy photo shoots there. It has gotten much busier over the years, before you could go there and maybe half a dozen people there but now there are hundreds of not thousands of people there all year round If you want to escape the crowds you can go further up the mountain. The lake is cold but it's very common flat so it's great for paddleboarding are kayaking."

"This is a 5 star place for sure. Scenic and beautiful. Great for hiking and off roading. With the river raging the reservoir is a muddy brown with zero visibility. A ton of sticks and branches floating around and under the surface. If your coming to fish, I recommend worms with the smelly jelly or power bait. Lost a couple Rapalas and spinners to unseen branches and debris. The road to Silver Lake Flats is still closed due to wet muddy conditions. Still a beautiful place. No fish today but not time wasted."
